Hi all,
I am negotiating a 1973 Rolex Oyster Date Precision 6694. It comes with an aftermarket (replica) strap, which the seller was honest about in his ad. The watch comes without box, certificate or receipt. I am in no means an expert in seeing if this watch is a gen, like the seller claims it is.
He offered me to have the watch checked out at a watchmaker, but we live quite far away from one another. So I was hoping someone here could check and judge the photos he sent me.
The seller comes across as a decent, honest guy. But he also told me that there are no replicas of the 6694 and that it is impossible to create this type of patina on the dials...
The crystal has a small dent on the left side and the watch comes with the steel Rolex strap and a leather strap. He is willing to let it go for 2.850 euros.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!
