Gen or Rep?

I saved close to $1,000 by not buying at a local dealer, and got the decoration on the movement that I wanted. This is a much more nicely decorated movement than the newer generation Pams.

The pictures that I posted were my own pictures, when I received the watch. I'm not the greatest photographer. I just uploaded a couple of pictures that the seller sent to me, prior to the sale, of the same watch. They are Panny-1 and Panny-2 if you check that directory again.

It's the reason that reps, no matter how good, are only resistant to 30 meters.

Now you are just making stuff up. There are many reps that when serviced are as good as gens in this dept.

Ok, no problem. you are entitlted to your opinion and desires, I'm entitled to mine. I considered a rep, but decided to buy a gen. So, why I bought one wasn't really the topic of this thread, but, either way, again, you are entitled to your wants/desires, and I'm entitled to mine. I wanted a gen, and can afford one, so I bought one.

I also own 4 Omegas, 2 Breitlings (including a $7,500 Breitling for Bentley 6.75), a Sinn, 2 Oris, etc.

Yes - yay for you.

I am a BIG beleiver of do what you want and buy what you want in life. My comment was just another compounded realization that reps are so close to gens that for those who think that a unitas based watch should not cost $5,000, reps are an awesome option.

Again I am all for buying what ever you want - so no offence.
