thnaks
Johnny Depp for the review. I wouldn't call a noob franken a 99% copy of the gen though.
I don't own any of the daytonas yet but i've been studying both ARF and noob cases myself for a future build .
And while I also agree with what
guru and
slaughterer62 have concluded about the ARF case, i'd like to point out some cons of the noob case that maybe not many have noticed yet like :
- lugs tips are too rounded , especially seen from the sides compared to gen / this shortens the lenght of the case and thus make the sel fitment not optimal as well
- lugs look to skinny when looked at straight on . this may be fixed by buffing the lug edge a little bit. I have a hunch maybe the edge is too sharp and this makes the lugs seem skinnier.
- lugs reflect the light in a straight line all across their surface all the way from the lug tip towards the crystal / gen lugs reflect the light in a diagnal pattern towards the dial ( ARF is not better in thius regards as well ) btw this is a great way to spot several fake rolex cases , same goes for the subs, dj etc
The ARF has nailed the lug thicknes so to say from the pics i've seen but can't be sure until i get both wathces .
Lug tips look better as well imo but cgs are not as good as noob's , the overall shape is rounded less pretty and on the back side they have 90 degree angles where they meet the case, and that's wrong.
To close this, neither of the 2 will be good enaugh for me for now. I recon i could weld and modify the skinny short noob lugs but the extensive work will render the build pointless imo.
Now here is a GEN down below :
Feel free to comment thx again for the review.
