I guarantee you, if you were to produce a clear Submariner case with a decorated Asian clone ETA in it, and a RELAX dial, you could sell tens of thousands of these watches. No, I'm not kidding!
Finished one of the two, mostly just to see how it came together.
Dial is lumed, and nato straps are ordered in black/red/white. I also ordered some red Mercedes hands, and plan to spray some matte varnish on the dial when I test it down to replace the hands.
Not bad, though, for a sub $50 fantasy project.

This project is a wrap. One for me, one for the lady friend.
This was fun, a bit of a pain in the butt, and I'll probably never wear it, but it's a cool novelty to add to the collection.

I've got plenty of RWI dials for anyone who wants to do builds with them. The new dials are very nice!
