Hey ale and other PAM experts,

Can you lend me your eyes to see if there are any mods left to be done with this?

the OFFICINE PANERAI needs to be re-engraved. Right now it looks like:

OFFICINE
PANER AI

Once that is fixed, you can safely list this on eBay* as a genuine. I can only assume this is why you would ask a question like this, right? A person can't be this obsessive over a watch features he isn't aware of. ;)

* Yes, I know this is wrong. I'm being sarcastic.

Lol just like ale I really want perfection!
I don't care about making change from scamming someone over four thousand.

Actually you r right.
The R_AI is rather terrible.

Sorry bud. You asked. Now that you've seen it for yourself, it can never be unseen. You will never enjoy this watch now.

The solution is to obviously sell it to me.

Swan-neck need to be reshaped (look at the Marlin works) and the crown is the "fat" model, not the H-maker "slim" version (look at the ALE guides).
Another trick: you can polish the bridge bevels to reach a better "gen look"...

As far as I see this watch have the mods as follows:

- Brushing of gear train without following plating
- Change of SN screw
- Swap of rep Incabloc for Gen (even lyre spring)(perfect)
- Polished wheels (this cannot be seen clearly in the pics
- Swap Crown for H maker one. (It should be "Slim", but it cannot be seen in the pics)
- Seemingly polished and flattened CP
- Likely relume

I assume you have contacted a modder to make these mods.
Well, you should have contracted with him the mods to make and the price.
Are these mods already made ?
If yes the job is OK.

OFFICINE PANERAI inscription in Noob replicas, as explained cearly in my thread :
The Last Steps to the Gen(Part II)-Crown-Pin gasket-Gears-Wheels&Engravings
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/pcteam-last-steps-134437
is completely uneven, and there are many watches with incorrect engravings.
Yours is good enough and have just the problesm of a big distance R_AI but it is uniform, crisp and clean Anyway this is an issue of the watch and not a problem of the modder.

The wheels have lost a little the colour by the brushing, as explained too in above mentioned thread when you brush the gear without following plating.

The Swan Neck spring has its rep shape and different to the gen one. But if you have not contracted this mod it is not a problem of the modder either.

Screws of the whells are clearly rep, mainly in Crown whell. But, again, if you have not contracted this mod it is not a problem of the modder either.

The mod is a good job if it is made following your previous indications and price established.

IMHO- the poll you have started doens't make sense

Enjoy your watch

Your movement looks very nice but I would suggest shaping the end of the swan neck as has been recommended. I would also reccomend flattening the crown and click screws. The ratchet screw seems flat, whereas the other two are rounded.

Thanks ale!
You are right about the modifications requested.
I am going to ask vac if he can give me a better crown as it is not as slim as I would like.
Engraving problem, I'm not sure if he has other watches in stock but since I'm buying the whole package from him, I will ask if he can pick another engraving.

Update:

Vac cannot do the mods that others have suggested to make this beauty even better.

1. H-factory slimmer crown.
Cannot be done because that's the only h-fac crown he has.

2. swan neck.
he doesn't have other swan necks.

3. engraving problems.
he doesn't have any other movement plates.

Oh well. It looks like it will be a catch and release sale. :)

H-maker Crown

Just for general info:
When we are talking about "Slim" crown we don't mean thickness of the crown
We are talking about the thicknes of the RIM of the corwn. As showed in below pic:
GEN-SLIM-CROWN_zpse758ecde.jpg

GEN “SLIM†CROWN

And now the pics of the replica Crown
PAM111V3-CGCOMPARISONHMAKERNOOBcopiar.jpg

H MAKER “SLIM†CROWN like GEN & NOOB “FAT†CROWN

In the pics of O.P. it is not possible to see if the Crown is really FAT or SLIM
But the owner nlnlnlnene can do by himself the check
