i used a small cordless drill with a flat driver bit holder, i just put a little bit of adhesive on the holder and measured off the centre, it stuck on really well then just cleaned the glue off after with some acetone.

yeah they are just pressed in not screwed in so i also used some gel adheasive when re-installing just make it more water resistant. one of the pushers popped out very easily and the other was hard to tap out. the pusher guard is two parts so when tapping them back in use a punch the same size as the tube in the center. if you use something flat that strikes the guard first it can move it down the pusher tube wich will lead to your pushers sticking out to far and the might not reach the points of contact for the chrono function. just take note of the pusher tube depth in the guard before you start.
Awseome thanks for the info, realy appreciate it. Always wanted to pull one of these apart and see the pusher construction but was never brave enough.

no worries my pleasure, ill probably be doing a super avenger soon aswell so ill document the process, that will also involve pusher housing removal, bezel and crystal removal. hopefully adding a gen bezel, dial and crystal.

Awesome mate, please do, I have one incoming and would love to see the construction. I really want to get mine as watertight as possible I plan to see some water with it.

Great resource for the community.

how did you seal the pushers when you re-assembled?

I am thinking about having one parkerized. wonder how it would turn out.

Am I right in saying you use scotchbrite refinishing pads to get this effect?
Which ones did you use?

the bezel was originally not crisp at all, the top surface and edges were rounded so i made a mini sanding block and worked it as flat as i could to get the nice sharp edge effect.
i was thinking of going parkerized but have to research the lectrochemical process more, apparently its very durable and i find the effect quite stealth and tough looking, almost like its sandblasted, its a very common process used on firearms but apparently there is not enough carbon in stainless as its more an alloy so the chemical process may fail.

i used a kit of brushing pads i got from an auction on the bay they are apparently from omega they came in an omega bag and everything, from course to very fine. they do wear out quickly though so you have to treat them with lots of love. i will be purchasing a proper brushing machine soon that uses these grades of material and should give an even finer parallel finish. cant wait!
when tapping the pusher tubes back in i used a small amount of epoxy. then used some proper gasket silicon on the double o-rings in each pusher. i jumped into the ocean today with it and all is good.

i will probably do another skyland and super avenger soon, i will document the whole process with lots of pics

It's incredible that it came out looking like that by scotchbrite pads alone. Great job!

I use this little mini grinder with a Cas-Ker Rolex Satin wheel attached. Works perfectly! Here it is being used on a Breitling Pro II Rubber Deployment buckle, and a Skyland Avenger bracelet.

sweet - where did you get the wheel?

The grinder looks like Harbor Freight - love that place.

You are correct, it is a mini grinder from harbor freight $29, http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=mini+grinder and a Scotchbrite Wheel for Finishing Rolex found here:
http://www.jewelerssupplies.com/product4580.html
About $35 with shipping in CONUS.

You will have to modify the grinder to take off the wheel well on one side to remove the existing grinder wheel. This was a pain, but it can be done.

So for about $70 you can have your very own professional setup for brushing out cases and bands. Hope that helps!
