Tucker I'm assuming that whomever bought it from Newbie17 paid his asking price of $1500 Newbie17 seems to be fully cooperating with Raddave so I imagine that we will find the RWI buyer/ebays sellers name soon.

hey everyone, this is definitely not my eBay listing. I’m in PA, not Cali. That said, it looks like the seller used all my RWI pics on the listing. I’m working withRaddave and will be helpfing provide any necessary info the forum needs. Just wanted to clear the air here and keep my good name.

Hey guys, I’m sure this isn’t newbie17 I bought the watch off of him from rwi a few weeks ago and I still currently have it in my collection and will not be selling it anytime soon. I can provide pics of still having it. I’m located in Tarzana. Not sure who is using the pics but his is an obvious scam and should be reported by everyone. If I were to try to sell it as gen than I definitely wouldn’t have priced it that low. Just food for thought. Anyone have any questions I’m here guys!

So just some random guy, using some random pics he found, trying to scam people out on eBay? What's new.... This crap never ends.

Well it sounds like no one here is up to no good at least (I hope) - which is nice!

How stupid could you be to do that ? If the scammer doesn't have the watch why not go on a gen Tudor forum or somewhere on the web with gen watches and steal the photos. I bought a PAM strap on Ebay that was listed as gen last week that might or might not have been gen but was a good looking strap anyways and made an offer . The guy came back with a counter offer and I bought the strap. A few days later I hadn't't received any tracking and checked the listing and the person had unregistered their Ebay account. They had 10 positive reviews. I contacted Ebay and they refunded my money. So many scumbags in the world.

Really good find by the OP.
I also wonder why the scammer is using those pics.
He just must have known someone would trace them to RWI. Especially as he never intended to send anything to the buyer?

Good find, indeed!
The eBay scammer (located in CA) seller's ID changed to "horologyislife" on 2/5. OP (in PA) listed the watch as sold on 2/6. Weird timing. Hard to imagine that the eBay scammer "randomly" found the photos on RWI...

It is indeed a tangled web. The staff is sorting it out I believe. I'm appreciative of their diligence and oversight in proactively protecting this board and its members. Cheers to you moderators and other staff!!
