Yeah it is thick but started to soften up nicely with wear and buckle has a good quality feel with no sharp edges and the sub design clips out giving you a silhouette if you want.

Found a nice leather strap for cheap.

It´s a natural product to be worn directly onto ones skin. I know how leather is tanned somehow. Me personaly use only vegetable tanned leather, what those cheapies are made of . . . . . . . do I really want to know? . . . . . . .
Mate in your experience what's the minimum cost of a good handmade leather strap? In pictures a cheap strap can look awesome, but won't last long right?

Definately. Depends on what costs the maker has and how many are produced of how many people in a "company" or like me acting as a one man show. My leathers are strictly vegetable tanned, cut with old shoemakers tools and handsewn as well with old stiching materials. If you are interested in a custom made one let me know.

I have a cheapo asso strap for about 14$ and is pretty, but when you start looking see the layers of what is to be something far from leather, normal use about 2 y, it has some life still but will fall appart.
On the other hand i make straps, ammo type from vintage leather and i can say this thing will last longer than you or your watch.
And market is full of handmade artist.
What you say for 30$ shipped ( just an example)

I'll going to ask you for straps thats for sure. I ve searched your straps in the fórum and you have many cool straps. Just one question, can you seal the edges of a strap? The straps i ve seem from you have that cool unfinished edges, very vintage, but i wear suits and i think that won t work with suits very well
I ve spent more money than i expected in my new apartment but in the end of July or August we ll talk.

Maybe it was on sale? Specs wise it looks to be the same strap. 4.6mm, saddle leather
