Bantering with Anopsis about hoarding mags started me thinking about just how many mags I actually have. So, tonight I decided to dig out my MKIII Browning High Power and all of my mags. Here is my first entry/beginning of this thread. Feel free to post a pic of your stash, but the rule is that you must only post a pic(s) of your stash, not one you pulled off of the interwebs somewhere (so no cheating).

Before the pic, I must apologize for missing one that I left sitting on my desktop while I shot this quick photo.

Including the missing mag, and one in the pistol (both 13rd) I have 23 total. It breaks out to 1x 20, 4x 15's, and 18x 13's for a total loaded count of 315 rounds with one in the pipe......

Tomorrow I will take on the task of digging out all of my AR15, and Glock 9mm mags.

Quite an impressive loadout, even if they are Mec-Gar mags.

I have never had a problem with the Mec-Gars, and prefer them to the "factory" mags with the mousetrap springs on the bottoms.
The doctor finally cleared me to go back to work 8 weeks after my back surgery, so I have been just a leeetle beet bizy (that and my little one just started kindergarten so the house has been in a bit of an uproar).

eta- it's "nice" to be missed....

I understand that last bit - my son's 7th b-day was Saturday and He started 2nd grade this week.

I used to have a fair supply of AR mags, don't know if I still have the pics I used to. Honestly don't keep that much loaded anymore.

So, it took me a bit to round up my loaded AR mags, and this is what I was able to dig out....

70 total loaded that are distributed between cases, vests, BOBox, range bag, and the safe-
61x 30's For all around use
9x 20's For a specific rifle with bi-pod (for prone position)

Total count in these- 2010 rounds

C'mon now, who's next?

I'll be rounding up my Gaston mags last....

The time is an advantage of a compressed work week. Yesterday was my Friday.

Believe it or not I actually have 3-4 cases of assorted JHP's (all +p and +p+ flavor)......

I keep most mags loaded with ball in case I head out to the range for an extended session, and a couple loaded with HP's for carry (they get fired/rotated about once a year).

I've got you beat on the Magpuls but you are kicking my ass in the standard AR15 mag category. Only 5 are loaded. All but one reside in my BCM 03 Chest Harness; the fifth is in my AR (my zombie load out).

And, yeah, I need to get some pics up. :facepalm:

I was in a shop today and picked up an 11-87P, and a G26 when I saw a MKIII BHP with 2 mags listed for more than I have in mine with 23 mags....

I am getting really close to the "magic 100" on AR mags. I thought I had a bunch more that weren't loaded, but it is only the 10 I keep on my trust. So, I am on the hunt for another 20-30 more (why not make it 110?) to round out my AR mag collection.

I have two different vests set up for two different AR's. My SBR load out has the 8 mags with the original Magpul's on them (and 3x G17 mags). I have 6 in the vest for my 16" AR load out (and 4x G17 mags). The MP 20's are for my "reach out and touch" AR that stay in a case/drag bag/mat (it has a 30rd in it to start).

This damn hobby, and my BRD cost me way too much dinero.....

Are you guys expecting to be holed up for a full-out assault on your home (or do you just like to go to the range and shoot without having to re-load the mags while there)?

If you can't kill the perp with 2 mags full, you may want to practice more (ready, level, fire!)...

Trust me on this, if you can't kill the perp with the first couple of rounds it ain't gonna matter.....

Actually I collect this stuff like I collect watches, bicycles, etc. They will always hold their value (if not appreciate), and give me years of fun and enjoyment at the same time.

The fact of the matter is that I have accumulated all of this over time, when prices were good, people needed cash, or vendors ran celebratory sales (like when Bin Laden met his maker).

Now I just keep stocking up and waiting for the zombies or the blue helmets to arrive (they will become zombies really quick if they ever landed on our shores- unlike the neighbors on our borders).

There's about 40 30rd mags in there; can't see 'em all. I wish I had thought to load the Barrett mag before the pic! Man, this was a while ago.

Today's Haul.....

So obviously I know someone that is getting completely out of the BHP.....

Today I stopped by and picked up-
2x used 20rd Mec-Gar (1 chrome, 1 blue)
7x New 13rd with bumper pads and "mousetrap" springs
2x used 13rd with mousetraps
5x used 13rd OEM's
2x New Mec-Gar 13rd
6x used Mec-Gar 13rd chrome

24 more mags to go with the 10 I got w/yesterdays acquisition, and the other 23 from my original post makes for-

I am out of finger and toes trying to count......

I don't think I will need any more of these.



Now I just need a few more AR mags to make it to the "magic 100", and I need to get to work on more for my Gaston's......
