Looking to get my VSF fluted bezel 18K white gold plated. Does anyone know a reputable shop or person in CONUS where I can send it to get WG plated?

I know Nikz19 does it but he’s all the way in Italy and don’t really want to deal with the shipping lead time back and forth.

Or if anyone knows where I can get a Gen 126334 fluted bezel for a decent price I may go that route.

Any info is appreciated.

There’s a guy in SoCal that does it. He’s on Reddit. Not sure what the rules are here about posting non trusted modders so I won’t name names.

Check eBay for Gen bezel. The white gold plating isn't worth it.

Have previously checked on there and didn’t have too much luck. Was thinking the same to maybe spend the extra cost for a gen.

I would just be patient and keep looking. Rolex DJ bezel is white gold. If you go to a jeweler they will plate it in rhodium. Different tones and will need to be replated.
If you are buying any WG version reps then just keep it the SS, it's a waste to do WG plating.

Might just do that. Kind of don't want to deal with the fading down the road and replating again later on either. Appreciate it

Would you mind elaborating a little on this point? I'd say the opposite is true.

You will never achieve this look through plating. This picture captures well what you see in person with Rolex WG and WG in general. The grey dull gold with gold hue.
I find the plating to be too bright and chrome looking in hand whether it's plated in rhodium, platinum, palladium etc. The other issue is out of the 3 processes used rhodium offers the best durability but worst colour if trying to match Rolex. Palladium would be the better choice appearance wise just not as durable.

LMAO - Yogi you are in another thread shitting on plating again??? ahahahhahah

Tiger4 YellowFin Here is another thread where we have been speaking of WG plating the last couple of days. You will find some helpful pics with Nikz as he actually does the plating process and then seals it. I have had the process done and it doesn't fade and lasts quite a long time. There is no color difference with Nikz methods but you can see for yourself in those photos.

To be honest, I had both the gen WG bezel and the VSF bezel in hands not even 3 weeks ago, and I felt a bit disappointed to have paid so much for so little difference. It’s literally not much different, except the WG one is slightly heavier. Meh

I got my VSF's bezel plated by Nikz and it was absolutely spot on.

Yogibear Nikz plates with multiple layers of different precious metals including yellow gold. Which is why it has the exact same hue as a gen bezel, see below shot besides a gen DJ.

That's a good comparison shot. Maybe not scientific, but visually appealing nonetheless

I doubt hes putting a layer of gold under the plating. When it fades you are going to see gold patches. I think it's more the solution. He hasn't confirmed yet if he's using a type of pallaspeed. Curious either way. But yea pics look pretty good.

Thanks for the info, that’s good news. This helps a lot with the decision making. Might just go ahead and send it over to Nik.

Great comparison photos. You're not kidding, the plating looks fairly good and pretty spot on with gen.
