Hmm, if he's just winding us up, and then playing some prank in good spirit, in five days, he's got a sense of humor the size of Douglas Adams.

If it really was an intruder, they'd shut down the forum and clean things up. Really ... So its one of them, fooling around a bit. Look at the images, they are on the server. So they are playing games - why not, let's play along.

I don't know a damn thing other than what I have been told, and that has all been public knowledge.
As a former admin of another vb-based forum I could point out some, uh, inconsistencies in what has been posted. 
I fully believe that it's all in good fun and I am more than happy to play along. Don't freak out, just enjoy the ride. :anopsis:
My PERSONAL belief is that if it were a real scenario the admins would have taken the forum off line until it was resolved, and we'd all be getting our status updated via twitter or RWG. :thumbsup:

the staff are working on a solution to this problem but its not that easy .if forums are shut down a script has been found to do a remote wipe ?? and to make things worse all our backups from the last six months seem to have the script also ......... so we cant just shut down ,we will have to let it run and see what happens ................ its not funny folks something is going to happen soon .of what we will find out..........
Simple solution: Make a MySQL backup/dump through the Confixx interface directly on the server. The alledged malicious script cannot interfere because it cannot know a backup is happening. So once you have your backup, kick the script, purge the disk and set up from scratch. Importing the MySQL dump will take a while, though.
But then, why not wait what's coming. It will be interesting to see :lol:

Dr, that's exactly what we're working on. But frankly, I don't think that the bot has evil intentions. I just think this is a countdown to something huge... what it is, I guess we'll find out in a few days. As for the identity of the bot, I suspect we'll find out then too.
