Congrats! The 299 is an amazing replica. The ONLY differences are very fine points on the crown guard that are too small to notice. Also the edge on the gen bracelet has a bevel that is slightly more square. Everything else is virtually identical. As far as the straps... I echo Mysterio. Dont even bother to worry about the price. An expensive strap from Dirk, Mario Paci, or DiStefano (Simona) will take your super rep to the next level. You will forget you are wearing a rep.

I've bought a brown leather strap in the M2M section. I'm going to have a look at a custom strap in the new year.
Well it's here! Haven't had a chance to open the box yet as I've been called into work. Couple of hours and I'll post up some pictures.

hows the case back? if im not mistaken, the model number has a big different layout compared to the gen?
Looks ok to me, don't really care what the back looks like as its on my wrist. No one will see it. [emoji1]
