First REP from Timesshop. (RWI PROMOTION NOOb) Please share your thoughts.

I believe this is the watch i ordered from TS. I paid $185 + $50 DHL shipping. (in which it was delayed for a week due to china customs)

Here are my thoughts up on examination. please share your thoughts as well.

First, the pearl is misaligned on top(above the 12o clock mark). It should be down more.

Second, the hour hand is incorrect, it's too fat and less pointy.

Third, the casing around(crown guard) the dial is incorrect. it's not as skinny as the GEN or the REP below.


i know this is a horrible picture but the phone cam is only thing that's available to me right now.

Am i being too picky? Or this REP is just not as good.

What's your reason to trouble the dealer to exchange?

Your reasoning so far is a mix of common defects from the factory and known inaccuracies of the rep.

Did you even compare rep photos to gen before you bought?

The sub c's are not accurate unless modded.

I have to be honest to say you'll not get much support of an exchange for these issues.
These are all common and yet very minor criticisms in terms of what you have paid for and gotten.
A little research would have shown that these issues are on noobfactory sub's and not specific to the dealer.

When rsh sells his next sub c... these inaccuracies are usually fixed. Especially the hour hand!

99.999% of people will not know about these flaws, including gen owners. If they do care at all. You will get nothing but complements wearing this watch, enjoy it.

Like others have said, everything you pointed out is common to that model. It reminds me of when I worked in a restaurant years ago, and a customer ordered the "Garlic Shrimp Pasta", then wanted it removed from the bill because they didn't like it. When I asked if there was anything wrong with it, they replied, "No, but I don't like garlic"

Oh, and regarding the CG's you mentioned in your post, and don't take this the wrong way, but you do know that the sub pictured, and the one you linked to at the bottom are two different models? The CG's on the watch you have are more or less how they are supposed to be. Here's a link to the gen:

also, all the bezel's will have a little play in them, I'd imagine you could line that up perfectly if you played with it a little...

I bought Trevor version of DSSD and I am very happy with it. Only the pearl bezel looks too Matt and white but I do a simple mod of it.

It don't have a case problem and the pearl is big enough to cover the triangle base which is same as gen.

Do yr homework before you plunge into yr next buy.

i meant side by side and a bit more down. it's too far to the right.

buy cheap reps. that way your expectations will be lower if you want the bomb check out BK or get lay to do QC pics for you. bk really is likely the best bet if you want "repfection"

Welcome to the forum mate. If you're looking for something closer to perfection then you need to speak to one of the modding crowd. RSH is probably your best bet at the moment. His subs come up for sale every now and again and have all those issues fixed by himself. Either wait for one to come up or speak to him yourself.

realigning the pearl on a ceramic takes serious skill as the ceramic bezel insert is very fragile. Honestly, your pearl looks good. I think you are lucky to even have it that centered.

either way the pearl location isn't even your biggest problem (if we are talking tells). i am not sure why you are even worried about it as it's extremely easy to spot a fake sub c (if you are knowledgeable in OUR reps) from a few feet away. The bezel engravings are very very very hard to rep because it's freaking platinum coated and will change colors depending on the light. The next thing is just how the pearl LOOKS as the gen pearl looks freaking amazing! Third biggest tell is the wrong hour hand. ALL common inaccuracies we all know and not factory defects.

anyways, trust me... your pearl location is fine. I have seen a lot worse.
