Thanks Sharrkey...this watch is from Angus.
I have remove the screw and the holder from the movement, because the screw was broken rather than just loses... now I think the movement only has only one holder to hold, is this s bad idea?
How many holder the watch has btw?

Sorry mate was thinking of a different watch, there are only 2 screws/tabs one for for either side, one will hold but best to get another replacement, might be an option to put a wanted up on the forum I'm sure a member will have a screw in their watch box, I've already checked but don't.

I don't think it can be replaced, coz the other broken half is in the movement...is this common and such flaw also part of this hobby?
:lolcina:

this really damping my urge to get a Radiomir next...

Hmm strange never heard of the screw snapping before, I'm sure a watchsmith could remove, where are you based?
Might be worth while then sending to a local modder.

Most likely I will return it to Angus for repair.
I'm not sure what else would arise after this.

First timer luck? damn it...so "lucky".

Be prepared for a long wait if you send it back. Probably 1-2 months round trip.

Receive a nice strap today from SteveO, great workmanship, nice smell too, and leather is super soft even for such thickness.
Bought this because of its uniqueness, hope it will get along well with Pam111.

however my watch is half way thru the sea back to where its birth.
Will post more pic when I got the watch back.

Very nice strap! Can't wait to see pics of it holding the 111 around your wrist.

I personally wouldn't take send it to china for a repair as straightforward as this...

to me, the last thing I would do is to try my hand on delicacy stuff as tiny as watch, I will fix something with creating a new problem...big no no to me, don't want to :dig:.

Solid caseback will screw right on, so it would be easily but definitely inaccurate as caseback model won't match the face
Most don't know the models that well so not the worst idea I've ever heard

So meaning the face of 111 must match with open caseback for model validity?

Yes, 111 is only made with a closed caseback
There is existing model with same face but will closed caseback
So if you got a caseback for it that was solid you would have a different model number and the face would not match the back
Model number is written on the caseback

Changing caseback to solid will turn an almost microscopic flaws into a very noticeable flaw

Just my opinion
