First Order, is this normal?

First order with CT.

Order placed on 9/7/23
Payment/order confirmed on 9/14/23

It is now 10/14/23 and I still have not received QC photos, nor a time frame for the photos.

I ordered a Lady Royal Oak JJF. I have inquired a few times about the photos and keep getting the response “QC photos will be sent when maker issues the watch” and most recent response was that JJF takes a long time. Has anyone else had this experience?

i hope this works out, i didn’t expect it to take this long.

If you took the time to read up on the process, you wouldn't be asking this. Your TD has no control over availability. Wait like all the rest of us do. When they have it you will receive the watch.

I’m sorry that I have a busy life and I don’t have time to sit around and browse a forum and meet buddies. I’m obviously unfamiliar with this space, and I did read the threads before registering. Only reason I registered was to ask this question. Like I said to TESLA760 above, not sure why you feel the need to be rude. Thanks anyway.

I obviously asked because the threads I read didn’t have the answer to my question. I did read and spent time looking into the process. Crazy how y’all can insist that I didn’t.

IMO, the week to confirm the order seems pretty long, but I've not ordered from that TD.

I'm used to 24/48 hrs for confirmation.

The rest seems fine. Especially since it's not a "normal" everyday watch.

I waited 3 months for my GMF tungsten daydate, 1 month is peanuts, then they also took 1 week off for their golden week, so yeah. I once waited 4.5 months for a Vacheron 56 Complete Calender to show up as well.

And stop being so defensive, you came to ask a question, TESLA760 answered it for you, and he's also right - you didnt do your reading at all. It's the Internet. You won't last long if you get defensive over everything. Kill the ego and spend time reading.

You want the results without putting in the effort to read the forum. That's not how life works.

You "don't have time to read the forum and make friends" - and instead want spoon feeding from members for free. Imagine how egotisical this sounds from members who have put the time in to write everything for you, free of charge, right here. But fuck em right? You're so much more important and your time is more valuable.

And btw, patience is the number 1 virtue in this game. Can't control timing or anything. You don't like it? Walk into an AP boutique and ask for the same watch and see what response they give you.

FOR ANYONE GOING TO COMMENT SOMETHING RUDE - I have NO problem waiting, and I understand it is not a quick process. I am not complaining. I simply asked if anyone has had this experience with JJF. The general rule of thumb is, the TD will respond when, and if, they have something to tell you. They won’t send you a PM per week saying “no news”. But they will answer promptly if they have news. If you read the stickies you should have learned that patience is the key for a good purchasing experience.

At some point ranging from 1 day (say, a Clean Daytona) to some weeks or even months (e.g. a Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon….) you’ll receive QC pics
