For anyone wondering, I contacted chazingtime about the exact same watch model and they said BPF will only ship after Chinese New Year. I guess I will have to wait about another month.

What are the flaws with this watch? How are the thickness and crown position? Does it have the Laser Etched Crown (LEC)?
Also, is the VR3186 movement fully functional and reliable?

The crown is not perfectly centered but I think it looks better now (picture from QC). The crown guard is also shaped better.
My BP 16710 is exactly 13mm thick with VR3186. It's improved by 0.5mm compared to the older one (unless there is batch variation) and is acceptable in my opinion.
No crown on the crystal.
The VR3186 is fully fonctionnal and working great

I think the lack of the laser etched crown is a feature - not a bug.

The 16710 model was released in 1989 and the LEC was introduced first in 2003 to my understanding.

I have got the BP Rolex GMT 16710 Pepsi, too. Ordered the VR3186 Movement. The watch is a little tight with my 18,5cm arm.

Following problem: The VR3186 should have a function to turn the hour pointer back to have the date turn back. This is not working with my watch. Bug or feature? Also the date wheel sometimes isnt centered at all. Do you have the same problem?

The height can be further reduced by swapping the case back to a slimmer version which brings it down to .1mm above the gen

Not sure if the drilled lugs disappeared at the same time as the LEC was introduced. Possibly it is supposed to have drilled lugs.

Is this not possible even with a clockwise movement in crown position 2(one click in from outermost)? This is the way you are supposed to increment the date if I recall correctly.

No, I was wrong. It works, just not very good.

It will need a few scuffs and maybe some light surface swirls on the case, you can tone down the polished chamfer tops easily with some 1800 wet n dry just use it dry and lightly brush, they are still there but less noticeable and dont catch the light making it look like a better case. You can also tone the red on the insert down using a cotton bud with a little neat bleach and then wipe to the desired effect and then clean any left over off.
To be fair there are many with the new look still for sale either being kept in a safe or just not worn, or cleaned up by an RSC they will change the insert as part of the service if you ask for it but also might change it due to damage and then you will need to ask to keep the faded insert as they are worth good money for a gen one.
