First IWC Super Clone Movement - Calibre Family 69000 from APSF

Since IWC started using in-house movements, its popularity has been declining.

Do people not like it anymore, or is it because they’re stuck with only the 7750 movement?

Seems like they used a 7750 Keyless and a 4131 escapewheel. Has all the fingerprints of a Dandong Design tbh.

Yeah APS is clearing the non-Rolex, non-Omega backlog of mainline watchbrands

The only other time I've seen a skeleton escape wheel is on the DD4131... this most certainly has Dandong fingerprints all over it. I'm intrigued.

The gen IWC movement doesn't even have a skeleton escape wheel. What made DD use it ?

This is definitely not an April Fool’s joke. It’s already April 2nd, and the movement sample is ready.

We both are gonna say this on every forum. We need the 5740 Perpetual Calendar !!!! A cheap one instead of the $6k ACE one.

Would immediately buy a Portugieser Chrono with this. I mean, the latest rep movement is als quite reliable but it is an immediate tell regarding the column wheel.

yeah i think it's a DD4131 escape wheel they used for a reason. Maybe it was just arroud when mixing parts together during design. The escapewheel arbour is friction fitted as far as i can see it
