I thought the serials matched. Hence the Ref. Number. How else would they be able to properly trace the history of repairs and authentication? Now I do know some of the 7750's and other complications, sometimes those are just replaced and those serials wouldn't match, but Omega has the records. The no serial on the case means it's either a rep or they had the factory replace it with a new case down the line.
My advice is to bring the watch in for authentication. That is the only way you will know.
Edit to add, I do believe this case has the serial number in tact. Ask for another photo, it's hard to catch, but it might be there. Look by the 528 lug.
