Certainly.
I decided to use all gen,
the costs are high, in the sense that if I buy a gen movement I get around 4.5k
the tapestry dial is normal to have different shades, you can find a light or medium gold! I have studied many dials!
for the hands use the gen if you want to put a vr/vs! otherwise use 2836 with gen Tudor.
If you use a case gen 16233...it alone would cost you about 2k!

I always wanted to build my own watch but never got around to it because of numerous things. This topic brought me back and will follow this closely. Can't wait for the photo's. @aeroxmhr46 are you documentating as well? Gen parts are for me also a wish when building. Would be awesome to see how/where you sourced the parts and the procedure to follow. Good look too both!
I don't know if I can say the site, however very well known!

Thank you for your detailed response. I will definitely check out both of the users you mentioned. I was wondering if his cases are plug-and-play? As for modding, I plan to start later when I am more familiar with the different methods. However, for my first build, I would like to keep it as simple as possible.
The raffles are built to be pretty plug and play for either 2836 or 2824 movements and the raffles dials for them. If you were looking to Franken anything thing (use gen parts) the Korean cases are plug and play for gen gear.

Thank you, I will keep that in mind. I think I will choose the Raffles because of the lower cost. In case I make a mistake during the installation, I won't feel too bad about it. Additionally, if I go with a Korean case, I would need to adjust all the other parts.

I have collected all the pieces for the same build as you! but with all gen except movement(2836,DWO)
I'm using a gen 16013 case and gen Tudor hands.
If you need advice on spending incurred I can help you!

Hello Sir, your build will be a stunner for sure, could you please tell us how do you look for those Tudor hands? I mean, are they oyster prince hands or oysterdate hands? I am asking because I have the same project in mind as this yours (except I am planning to use a Raffles case). TIA!

Hi, I'm in the same place as you going for a tapestry 36mm build, the only question I'm trying to figure out is, are the crown on the 36mm case raffles use the same size as gen DJ 36? At least period correct? Because iv seen people modify the case to fit a larger tube and crown! Any thoughts about this is appreciated 🙏

Dont quote me on this one but if i recall correctly in order to fit GEN crown you need to fit different tube as you said.

I see, but I'm not sure as do they both use same crown size? The gen and the raffles DJ 36 case?
