Well... I've been looking lately at the new Fifty Fathoms rep, and, I love how it looks. Looks better than the Omega Seamaster 300 "vintage homage". I know the price difference is a past the $100 mark (which is fine).

My questions are:

It's a 45mm, I have a small wrist, it's like 6.5 in. How does it wear? does it wear too big? Is it comfortable?

if you have one, do you recommend it to others?

I know that if I get it, and I don't like it, I won't have too much of a hard time to sell it here or RWG.

All aside, I really love the watch. Always been a fan of the FF, and well, who knows! Let's see if you guys can convince me!

I have one and a 6. in wrist also. The rep actually comes with an rep XS strap so perfect for those with smaller wrist. No size or comfort issues with me.

But I'm also not worried about watch size for the most part. I've never had anyone comment, man that watch is huge. Especially in this day and age.

Awesome!!! Phew!

I'm not worried about people commenting on it, I just don't want it to look like a damn wheel rim on my wrist. LOL

Can you post a wristshot, if possible?

Thank you!

Hi, with a 6.5 wrist the strap it comes with will be perfect and save You the hunt for a strap and buying the T3 Torx drivers which is fine. At the first glance it looks big but You get used to it quite quickly and it´s comfortable as soon as You have the right strap (which in Your case is in-built, so no issue). The lume is amazing. On a 7.5 wrist:

OK I will go against the norm here:
I have owned (and love) plenty of APs, Hublots, and Pams.
I like THE WAY THEY WEAR in that exact order (AP first, Hublot second.) The APs I'm referring to are 42mm versions and Hublots are Big Bangs. I also like the way Omega Planet Ocean 45's fit.
Wrist is 7.5inch. That being said, I considered the BFF when they were about to be released. I (still) don't know if I love or hate the large lumed sapphire coated bezel though.
Luckily enough around the same time, I stumbled across a used Gen in a local boutique, on the sail canvas strap.
I tried her on and instantly HATED IT! The case is Thick Thick Thick! The sapphire crystal, which is domed, makes it appear like a huge hockey puck I feel.
Way too big and I generally like fairly thick watches.
Needless to say I couldn't wait to take it off. Hope I've helped.

Yup! I think it fits great on my wrist, and love the fact that it's different for those reasons listed above!

Mine arrived yesterday. I Immediately applied some blue Loctite and took a few pics.
I have a 7 in wrist. I was also worried about the size but visually it doesn't look larger than my PAM 111. It wears well on the included strap for me.

I have a 6.5" wrist, narrow and deep, and the upcoming blue dial FF has caught my eye.
But I dunno, I think the FF will swamp my wrist, it's big and sits high.

I'm going to go to an AD and try on the gen, see how good/bad it looks on me before I decide if I'll buy the rep.

Just bought one, It was love at first sight ! ordered a vintage special ebony leather nato strap from Peter Gunny that should complement her nicely.

Howdy!

I am interested in this watch, too - amongst others. I have noticed that the BFF rep is quite pricey. Is there any specific reason for the BFF to be noticeably more expensive than other reps with three hands and asian ETA-clone working inside? I don't want to blame anyone for that price, just would like to know the cause for the higher price...

Greetings...

Many new releases PAM/AP/Rolex are at similar price levels already
Several points: gen dissected for production was expensive; domed sapphire outer bezelring, great lume application inside and on the bezelring, inner ani-magnetic movement cover, high demand, small production units, more profit making and this:) ..just look at it....

AP ROO: $450-750
Breitling Datora: $430
Rolex GMT Master II: $450
Rolex DSSD: $420
PAM 424/425: $470
PAM 382: $450

"Pricey" is relative. Other reasons, see above.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
So it's all about market economy...? Seems as if I had to pay the price if I'd like to own one ;)

And Daywatch: remove your infectious pictures already *lol*
