between the black and blue version of the BFF, if you are considering the best OTB version from the factory, it would have to be the black version as its quite spot on.

the blue one as mentioned by nalomb has the missing the rose engine turned patterns on the outer-most ring on the dial that should have continued from the innermost dial circle, see pic below and you understand what i meant.

however do bear in mind we are looking at macro zoomed shots of the watch dial, which in most instance is very hard to capture once on the wrist and not easily spotted. there are some minor flaws as well on the dial but this is only apparent when put side by side against eachother, other than that it holds up well as a very well made OTB.

Is that really a GEN on the right? The 1 and 2 figures for the "12" look micky mouse while the REP "12" looks better matched, even if the fonts for both watches are different.

Is it probable or possible that a next iteration of this will have the missing "gillouche"/engine turned pattern on the outside edge, as the photos of the blue dial look far superior.

The black dial photos look very dark and bland, like black radiator paint(or is it the photos?). Does the black dial not have the "gillouche" pattern?

If the next version corrects the dial problem on the blue dial, the blue would be a no brainer. I really like the brushed finish case and the blue bezel/ dial, but they need to fix the outer ring on the dial. That to me would move it up from nice rep to super rep.

I too like the brushed case and blue dial (kinda different) with SUNBURST which looks amazing! :)

Yes thats a pic of a gen I got off the gen forums one of the sales thread. We can only hope that they do fix the outer-ring on the subsequent blue version and we should have a winner!

i fancy the black one initially but found it a tad "boring" since I've come across to many black dial watches therefore I went for the blue one even though it's "less correct".

I recently wrote a comparison between the gen Sailcloth and the rep sailcloth straps. Link here http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/...loth-Strap-Rep-vs-Gen-Comparison-and-Thoughts

If it were me, and I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't have shelled out the money for the gen strap (290.00 USD). I would only replace the rep strap if my wrist was too large or too small for the rep strap, as Blancpain does make and XS and a XL.

...and, I hear the new straps noob is shipping are a bit longer (i.e. normal size) than the original (extra short) straps.

Can anyone confirm?

My strap is a little large on my 6.75 wrist, it has the overhang which I'm not a big fan of as it detracts from the dial view , I use it on the third hole which fits snug.

My wrist is around 7.75 in. The strap on my Blancpain is 112/75 cm and is in mint condition. If yours is longer and you'd to exchange with mine, definitely send me a PM.
