Hi everyone,

I live in Belgium and had a package with 2 reps on the way from HK.
Yesterday I received a phonecall country code 32, wich is Belgium, that my package was pending in customs office in Germany and that there will be a small delay. The lady appologized and said my package will come.

Late this afternoon my package arrived, without problems. FedEx foil was opened and so was the box. They retaped it with customs tape.

So there are some nice people working there!
Just to let you know.

Greetz!

My $1400 order of gen parts hit customs here in Finland yesterday, first time any of my fedex packages have. They phoned me too, asked a few questions, and then released my package, but I need to pay tax/duties.

Did you not have to pay anything?

They didn't tell me I needed to pay extra, did you have to pay in advance?
Since I allready have my watches I don't think there will be an extra bill.

Always shitty when one does not arrive, I so far lost only one...

I was told via email that I have to pay €25 + 2.5% tax/duty.

I did not pay in advance, so I would expect I will get the bill on Monday when the parts are delivered, then I can pay via BT.

Sorry for your extra charge, but it apears you still receive your watches.
Funny, how can they charge taxes for a product you may not buy or sell...

But that would make me walk free, for now..

Good luck!

Thanks, but in my case, this package contains genuine parts, no replica, genuine Tag Heuer movement, dial, hands, crown, pushers, and rotor.

Only time will tell my friend.. They delivered my gen Rolex without any mention of additional taxes what so ever. (I was somewhat surprised of course -but didn't argue) As time went by and no word -I thought I was in the clear. But after more than three months I received the claim for 24% (twentyfour) of the value. I had of course calculated that in the first place -but after three months the money I had put aside was long gone. They told me this was their standard procedure -so this was no mishap.

After some argument I just paid up and let it slide -only to find out by coincidence that they are actually obligated by law (Norwegian) to inform customers of additional taxes on delivery. If they don't they have no case.

Needless to say I have never used FedEx again. They are the only shipper I have come across that are not able to collect/inform of taxes on delivery. How hard can it be?

I sometimes even end up paying more for stuff online when the better deal only offer FedEx shipping. I'd rather pay someone else a little more than give my hard earned cash to them. That's how fed up I am with FedeEx :)

Hope it works out well for you
