Fake panerai 6497 being sold on enbay. Bad idea?

So on ebay there is a fake e series 6497. I have been made an offer for 800$. He is selling for 900 claiming it is genuine.
how bad of an idea is this to buy? They are so freaking hard to find, and i will not see another for a long time. I really want it but how big of a waste is this? Do these ever pop up here?

You're better off buying a Marlin 127 or Marlin pam 111 with the mods and paper work.

I already own a Pam 111, but nobody makes a decent E series or even an e series at all good or bad. They literally do not exist anywhere. I already checked Marlon and some other people and none of them can get one. So I’m asking if you think that an E series specific engraved movement would ever pop up again soon.

Well questions how in love are you with the pam ? How long will you keep it with all these mods ? I'm not trying to be a downer. For me unless your going to have a Franken watch that it's almost priced as a gen. Might as well wait for a gen to go on sale.

$950 for a rep PAM movement is a lot of money.

Obviously I would never pay $950. I sent him an offer for 500 which he countered with 800, which I then countered with 600. If I will never see another E series for another year or two, 600 is absolutely worth it to me. The thing that I’m asking here is if you guys think that one would ever pop up here.
