Guys I was just wondering if the dial can be changed to a genuine one ? This will ma
There are no perfect reps. Super reps aren't perfect either. But from experience with reps I, and many other users will confirm, can say that once they fix one issue the factories magically mess up something else on the watch. You expect them to simply correct the lettering for example, which they might do in an upcoming version, but all of sudden now the hands are wrong. Don't ask why, nobody can tell you that. So now you wish to get the previous version back since you can live with a minor lettering issue rather than having the wrong hands etc.

So to sum it up, if you like the Explorer 1 then get the JF version now since the lettering "flaw" is really something only us anal freaks notice since somehow we don't just simply enjoy the watch for what it is but rather go "flaw hunting" since we know it is a counterfeit product. Noone in the real world is going to inspect your watch (very few people notice your watch and even less care), and even if they were to, almost noone besides us (and TDs) know what to look for anyway.
Go and buy the JF Explorer 1 is what I'm trying to say. Will do so in the near future as well.
I completely agree with everything you said ! I am going to purchase it in the near future because as you said it is amazing !
However, why do we search for very small flaws in a watch rather than enjoying it ! I can’t stop this habit which is killing me ! Hahahahahaa . Although people do not care about such flaws !

Humour me and go on Instagram. Have a search through #RolexExplorer hashtag. You will spot the gen from reps an absolute mile off, purely from the explorer lettering. I'm more than aware that Rolex produced some rather iffy ones with suspect lettering, they don't anymore.

Well, I have done the exercice. I have been on Instagram, entered the hashtag rolexexplorer, and looked at the more than 30'000 hits (well, not all of them because I also have a life). I have not spotted for sure a rep here, but maybe my eyes are not so good ... Depending on the angle, you cannot say for sure if the spacing is obvious or not. And I was looking specifically for it!

Honnestly ... can you just show us a few examples on these reps on Instagram?

My humble opinion is that this watch is amazing, especially when you think about what you get for less than 400$! But I promise, if I get caught by an eagle eye who spot my rep on the wrist in just a second, I will offer you a gen ;-)

I totally agree with you ! However, the movement of the watch is considered to be another disadvantage !

How is in any way the Yuki based movement a disadvantage? Get it serviced and throw some gen parts at it and you have a movement that most would not be able to tell even looking at it!

Most people say the movement breaks really easily ?

As others have said, I'll still be holding out for a v3. I have plenty of watches already so I'll be patient. For others though, based on the pics I've seen this is a VERY accurate REP. It's certainly better than most Rolex reps out there.

Also, the only person who'd be able to tell this is a REP is the wearer. Secondly, no one will even think about REP vs GEN with this watch because an Explorer I is the most subtle Rolex. Even if someone notices the Rolex name on the dial, it doesn't scream SUB, Daytona, or Date-Just where there are countless REPs out there.

Nahh...even Domi said it's a good movement. You have to get it checked, cleaned and oiled if necessary and you're good. The only "weak" part is the automatic module and this can be changed with gen rolex parts...

...sent with wooden drums via Tupperware.

Exactly. This V2 is already a super rep, especially with the clone movement. If that imperceptible spacing in the letters bothers you that much you can source a genuine dial and then you have a 98% perfect Explorer.

Maybe a gen bracelet could be considered too, as the easylink on the JF bracelet is a bit loose. Or you can get the bracelet of the Noob version which has a tighter easylink. But again this is just if you are really picky (I am, and I find the easylink very convenient).

And if you want the cherry on top, get yourself a set of genuine reversing wheels for the movement, or even the autowinder module from a genuine movement and you have a truly outstanding watch.

I want to do exactly as you said (with the cherry on top) but seems as a newb I struggle sourcing the parts. Everyone makes it sounds so easy yet, I don't find the gen parts I want.. so frustrating!!!! I don't have patience for this learning curve! haha

Patience is definitely required. Some of my frankens are 2-3 years in the making.

Absolutely love mine. Bought it M2M, it’d already been serviced by a respected member, so no worries there.
It looks, feels, and wears great. Even sounds like the real thing. Easylink snaps in and out fine on mine, maybe luck of the draw.
Okay, the seasoned members on here may find a couple of tiny ‘tells’, if they’re armed with a loupe and a few minutes - but the other 99.9% of the time it scratches that Explorer 1 itch just fine, without having to stuff £5k into one.

Some people say there is an empty wind to it, as it they removed the date function from the 3135 and it’s not a 100% 3132 clone. Is this accurate?

That’s incorrect. Unscrew crown, first click winds, second adjusts the time. That’s it.
