It seems the Explorer 36 mm 114270 replicas are no longer being manufactured. Everyone has focused on the 39 mm Explorer and the only listings I can find for 36s are on non-trusted dealer sites. Are these new old stock inventory? I am afraid they are scam dealers. I am not interested in the vintage 14270 Explorers or 39mm version so I guess I could wait for the new 36 mm to become available. How long does it typically take for reps of something like the new 2021 36 mm Explorer 124270 to be available from BP, etc? It is not a highly sought after model, and most of the parts have changed on the new 36 (case lugs, bracelet width, face), so I am thinking I will have to wait forever, find a pre-owned 114270, or try to swap the face and bracelet on an alpha 36. I have modded Seiko SKXs and have hands pullers, etc so I thought it would be easier to swap the face of an alpha vs build a 114270 from parts. Any advice?
