I'm counting myself lucky then. Thank you to everyone who were very understanding of my mistake. I've seen some 3rd degree burn comments on this forum, glad I didn't get any. Apologizing and groveling do help. 😅

To be fair, all reps have tells so doing that is only asking for embarrassment and ridicule.
So true.

I still feel that the amount of people on gen fora who can spot a fake is dwarfed by RWI’s capabilities.

But that doesn't mean that they don't have their folks who will eventually expose you on some point. Perhaps not in 30 mins. like on here, but after a few hours or a few days at most, you will have become the (banned) clown of the day/week/month/year depending on the quality grade of rep you posted. 😂

Just curious. Have you ever joined an online gen watch community and maybe slipped in one picture of a rep amongst your other gens? How did it go?
to answer your question,
no, what for?

@clk168 I can be an ass sometimes about other people doing something wrong, but then I have to slap myself and say to myself "You Dork, you make mistakes every day, get off your high 🐴". 😂

The most important thing is to admit that you made a mistake and correct it, i.e. make sure that it doesn't happen again to the best of your abilities.

There have been people on here that actually have reacted very different from you in similar situations, getting all defensive and acting like some spoiled, entitled brats. Needless to say that the majority was eventually banned. 😆

I think this community is very forgiving if you admit that something you did was dumb.

Much appreciated, that puts me at ease. I was scrambling and bothering TWO moderators to take down the post. I really want to play by the rules, I've seen too many noobs either be total asshats when being politely educated or post the dreaded "What's the best rep".

I don't know, maybe some wanted to see if they'll get away with it and maybe some had delusions of grandeur and wanted to play with the big boys etc. But I got the consensus of the group: Don't. Point taken.

Now don't get this advice twisted. If you walk through the mall with your high-end rep Submariner on the wrist, and you walk by one of those jewelers, that doesn't mean you have to choose another route or unstrap your watch before you walk by. If you wear a rep, you need to avoid situations where your watch could become subject to inspection, as it's definitely the case on a forum and possibly the case at an A.D.

That's sage advice, thank you.
