What a rubbish post. Were you trying to hit 50 posts and now you've turned poo brown??

Anyway, just thought I'd update everyone. I've been very busy with work so haven't had as much time as I hoped... But I have already taken some pics, and want to take some more. I expect to be done within a couple of weeks. The watch will be posted to cazIRL as soon as I am done (expect early July at the very latest).

Stay tuned! :)

Ha ha! Patience my friend... I have some pics already and I'm taking more later this week. Don't you worry. The pics will be uploaded and the watch will be on its way to Ireland by next week, as promised.

Are you seriously considering reluming this thing? You just want to have some fun, don't you? ;)

Ok, finally here are my pics... Hope you like them. I certainly had a lot of fun taking them. :)

For the occasion I took the lousy rep strap off and equipped the Chopie with a nice Bob strap... ;) The camera is just a small point and shoot, so don't expect too much please. I also made the pics smaller so those with small resolution screens can see them without scrolling.

LONDON, UK

Around the streets of Kensington.

The national history museum in Kensington

Piccadilly Circus, in the West End. Teaming with tourists any time of year...

Mmmhhh... Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum... Should have asked if they'd like to add a rep to their collection...

And heading for the tube...

Waiting for the train...

CAMBRIDGE, UK

Here we are in Cambridge, one of the most beautiful and historical parts of England. Home to the famous University, which incidentally is celebrating its 800th birthday this year.

DSC09376.jpg

The river is popular with rowers. You can see the University boat house on the opposite side of the river. Sadly the team lost its famous boat race against Oxford this year. But Cambridge has been winning the University rankings... so I guess everyone's a winner!

Around town you can see some of the most famous colleges, including St John's (home of the famous St John's May Ball, apparently one of the top 10 best parties in the world, according to a recent Time magazine article...), and King's college (home to the famous choir and a magnificent chapel).

A walk around town...

A quick stop at the Eagle for a pint of beer. This is one of Cambridge's most popular pubs. It features the so-called "RAF bar", with very cool graffiti of World War II airmen on the ceiling at the back. It was also the place where in 1953 Francis Crick and James Watson downed a few pints and announced that they had discovered the structure of DNA. There is still a plaque over the table where the announcement was made.

A few miles away, Wimpole farm. The perfect place to go for a walk on a hot sunny weekend afternoon...

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND

I thought the Chopard would like to see where its gen counterpart grew up... So I took it to Zurich...

DSC09509.jpg

A Chopard boutique in Zurich provided the opportunity for a great comparison of the gen and rep. The gen that you can see in the window had a price tag of about 5200 francs, or just about $5k. The one on my wrist? Probably slightly less than that... ;)

DSC09515.jpg

Here the Chopard is hanging out at the longest bar in the world. Silly world record to break, really, especially when you can't even fill the bloody place!

DSC09517.jpg

Back on a smaller plane, a little Saab 2000, for a short trip north to south over the alps... The Chopie enjoyed the view over the mountains, still partly covered in snow in July.

The destination is Lugano, in the south of Switzerland.

LUGANO, SWITZERLAND

There are so many amazing place to take pictures in this town. Pity I only had second-rate equipment with me... But taking these pics on a very balmy night while sipping a cold beer was a lot of fun...

That's it, folks... Truly hope you enjoyed the pics. The watch will be on its way soon to the next destination in Europe.

Take care everyone! :)
