Arshavin is played out of position on the left with Arsenal. With Russia, he is also out on the left but he has the freedom to roam in more like a #10 position. This gives him more creativity and less defensive responsibilities like tracking back when either Clichy or Gibbs were out of position

Plus, he's more of an international player than a week in week out club player

Trk, I was watching the game with my son. I roared with delight when the goal went in. My lad looked at me in surpise and said, 'Why are you so happy?'

I told him I had a friend in Denmark. Great result trk, so happy for you.

Expectation for England to either perform really bad or average at best and watch the commentators say how well we did and then us do poor. I can see my expectation happening not looked impressive in the friendlies against poor sides!

Congrats co-ax, not the best of games but it's 3 pts in the bag and that's all that counts.

I suspect I'll be congratulating the French contingent on Monday night too. :(

I'm really enjoying the competition so far, haven't missed a kick. I was looking forward to the Spain v Italy game tomorrow. Looks like I'll have to watch it later on time lapse. My lad turns 16 and we have a meal booked.

I really hope that Germany and Denmark secure top two in Group B.

+1 should be a good game. Scared about Ribery & Benzema though, they have both had really good seasons and are in good form.

I thought both teams showed that they have great quality. France kept lacking 1 or 2 men in front of englands goal, making their countless attemts seem a little too tame. England showed desptie less posession, that they can wack together a nice offense in just a frw seconds.
I think both teams will reveal much more of their strength in the next game.

I'm happy with the draw. Overall I thought France were the better team so, yes, good point for England.
