Sorry I know it’s an old thread.
But if you increase the dial spacer height, how do you deal with fitting the movement mount clamps into the slots of the case?
I’m working with a DJ41 case with a SW200. The case has slits on the edges for the movement clamps to slide and secure into. As is, the clamps barely fit into the case slots and i had to bend the clamps to fit.
I’m worried if i increase the spacer height to fit the DWO, the movement mount and clamps won’t fit.

Have any of you guys ran into this issue?

I've never had a movement I couldn't anchor into a case somehow. You should get a box assortment of screws and clamps (like 100 of them) so there are lot of options. Dirt cheap on Ali Express.

Try using a longer clamp first and bend it more. If that doesn't work use thick clamps that are ever so slightly too long and jam them straight into the inside case curve without regard for a groove. Plan on shaving the outside edge back with sandpaper (hold with tweezers or a pin vise) as necessary to make both of them fit. Take off only as much material as you have to (slightly round the clamp outside ends) while paying attention to proper dial position - minute tics to rehaut spacing even all the way around.

Sometimes you blow it and make one too short - start over. It's entirely possible to make a movement immobile in a case using this method. If the movement insists on wanting to shift a little perpendicular to the tabs, you can insert some fishline or a piece of a crystal gasket in the space to block that. I keep like 6 spools of different diameter fishline handy for these kinds of tasks and for ceramic model bezel gaskets.

Keep in mind that adding thickness to a dial spacer has two potentially negative consequences:

- less hands pinion height to mount hands
- movement gets pushed down in the case so the stem sits lower in the tube

The thicker your spacer, the greater these consequences will be.
