Very sorry for your loss, TB. I KNOW how hard it is to lose a very best friend who loved you unconditionally. Once you heal, get another four-legged piece of love to make yourself happy.

What a difficult time for the ones who are left behind. Its always a priviledge to share your life with a dog. MAY YOU NEVER FORGET HIM. I ve been there a few times too. RIP

50+ kilos of power and muscle that.

As well as a little Border cross pup that looks to have moved in but yes I'll get another special one when I find him. Dogs kinda present themselves to me rather than I go looking.

So very sorry for your loss. It is indeed painful. Cherish the memories. We just had to put down our beloved Sadie, who was a lab mix. She was 14.5 years old and going strong but then stopped eating suddenly. It turned out to be total kidney failure and we had to put her to sleep 2 weeks ago today. She passed peacefully in our arms, but I was a wreck the next day and not a moment goes by that I don't think of her. I office from home and she liked to rest in my office while I worked.

It has been 2 weeks today since her passing and we just got her ashes back over the weekend. My wife sleeps with her collar underneath her pillow every night. She is sorely missed.

Not nice that Col, they become such a part of our lives. I travel a lot for work, and I swear every week when I get home, the dog is more excited to see me than the kids are... Great friendships between a man and his dog. I'm looking forward to completion of the house renovations, then like Mendota, he can come be in my office with me when I'm at home.

That collar is ace by the way. I may have to look into that....

my condolences.
Although you may have other dogs - and funny stories to tell how they pick you and not the other way around - they are all special and cannot be replaced. And it's amazing how one can get attached to animals such as dogs, cats and whatnot. He'll be remembered, I'm sure. Dusty looked quite clever - well, with all the sneaky goats around...

So sorry boss, looks like a helluva mate u had there. Iv lost a dog (boxer named Bruiser) and 2 cats (Phil & Felipe) who both decided to die outside my window. Phil was with us for 15 yrs and by far one of the hardest to deal with. He was the family cat who lived during the years where all my bros and sisters lived with my mom.

Sorry to hear of your loss Col... Hope you're doing well a week after he's passed. Time will heal.
