No, the AR from anyone won't come close!
That's what the point is

Why spend the money getting it AR'ed from anyone, waste of money

Say who? finedd AR is identical in colour to the gen Panerai AR. ie:ever so slightly yellow. Why is this a waste of money?

I just read the title of the thread. It seems this thread is a comparison of a couple commonly available versions, not so much a comparison of gen construction or modification. It also seems that was lost on some.

I second that, i had Uwe done ar job on my fiddy crystal and the result was really good and of course far better than the blue one it came with...

Of cause paparas some people know better than we do. By the look of clonemans threads he must know an awful lot 'cause he' spent most of his time here running other folks opinions into the dirt. Have a look for yourself, we should just bow to his superior knowledge.

few pics of my modded dsn/cartel fiddy with finedd AR from before I sold it.
I fail to see how the AR colour ruins anything.

Ok guys...

Just trying to save many for paying money to AR a rep fiddy crystal when it's better off not to, since the quality of the crystal is not good, it is not "clean" but if anyone wants to AR go right ahead

Btw yes I do have knowledge on this particular watch since I have spent time and money to figure out certain things

Cloneman, given your experience, is fitting a gen crystal a viable option for the dsn/cartel version? How did you find yours and roughly at what cost? Remember reading a thread where a member had put some serious effort fitting it to an EL case...

The EL case will accept the gen crystal, but the problem might be the gasket for some, as some EL cases are not exactly 1:1

I have seen maybe one person that did put a gen crystal on a Dsn but it was difficult

For the Dsn try to find yourself a Rex mineral crystal , that will be the closest you can get to the gen crystal visually, however ,it will be just as hard to find the Rex crystal as the gen crystal, so get to hunting ;)

you actually upped an AMAZING, but "out-of date" thread mate, since the new noob fiddies render this thread obsolete...

Really the thread by trksh? WAS a fantastic thread. One of the best comparatives ever seen here.
But I agree with karesz, nowadays it is no useful for obsolete

It really is the same about all comments concerning PAM replicas, the market go fast than our reviews.... LOL

I must update the PAM GUIDE every day !!!

Hey ALE.......... psssst......! This was a thread by trksh-bzr ;) Nevertheless, was worth re-reading to see how the noob factory raised the standards for the 127/217.

OMG karesz... you are right the thread is by trksh.
I actually had the doubt when wrote the post and went to consult the first post, but in that moment I received a phone call and forgot this matter.

Thanks
ALE ;)

As wierd as it may sound, I would rather come across my old bastard 127 in member sales, than a noob. That watch took some sweat n tears.
I wonder if @haysey still has it..

trksh-bzr can you please be more specific on why you would "refuse" the newer 127 reps over your old one?

I am interested in buying a 127 and don't know which version I should go for in the end?
