Don’t Buy Panerai – It’s A Dead Brand Walking

I still love them as a watch, just could never bring myself to buying one. I wanted the carbotech Luminor badly. I have tried a few reps and just was not the same. Maybe one day

I often hear this; can you please explain exactly wy the Rep Forged Carbon is different than Real Carbotech ?

Anyway, PAM is a dead brand walking....no Water Resistance, very very pricey, not-in.-house movement .

And then, if i can stand the Carbotech and Fibratech brand names....Panerai is starting to utilize stupid names like Goldtech (AHAHAHAHAAH !!!!!) or eSteel (Bwahahahaha !!! ) which are frankly pathetic.

I don't know if the Richemont Group is the problem or the problem is inside Panerai; i would never buy a Gen PAM simply beacause, for me they have nothing so different to offer.

Big fan of perezscope and the articles, I have been following this imminent downfall for a little bit now. We will see if it happens.indeed. #watching

It's an attractive brand because it has a real personality. You immediately notice a Pam on someone's wrist (and I do a lot of professional meetings. Sometimes I hesitate on a Rolex, never on a Pam).
But the desire for profitability comes to tarnish the reputation of a beautiful story.
I find that there are other brands that are selling off their names: Breitling, Tag Heuer. What I ask myself all the time: is it really worth the asking price. For Panerai, it is becoming more and more difficult to say yes.

You pretty much nailed how I feel about the brand. Over time you find yourself wanting to make the investment with some brands. Others, not so much.

@justinb491 : why was it not the same I mean, usually Forged Carbon is similar, i mean, Forged Crbon IS Forged Carbon !

Which are the difference against the en that you fnd out ?
