Do you wear your watch while playing golf?

Just a general question: do you have any concerns about wearing your rep when you play golf or other sports (activities)? I've purchased a couple of automatic watches (thanks RWI) and I am just curious if wearing them while playing can mess anything up inside (movement, etc.)

I recently played in a outing where I wore my LMPO. I think a rolex or omega would safe but I would be nervious about wearing a 7750. This is all speculation but I share the same concerns with something falling off.

Don't. They will suffer and could break....only BALL gens with their spring lock system or Richard Mille gens would be ok...(and maybe other brands that have shock protection that I am not aware of...).

I have a jlc nsd with Swiss sellita movement that I wear all the time during crazy sports and activities. Still operates perfectly after about 18 months of abuse. Everything from softball to operating heavy machinery. I think it can handle a few rounds of golf.

I'm not sure what kind of shock protection the sellita movement has, but I don't think I would trust a 21J movement to survive the same abuse. The ETA clone looks like the shock protection is somewhat basic, so I might not trust that either.

I've never worn a watch while playing, mechanical or even quartz!?! I've always been fearfull of the shocks traveling up my arm would dislodge or damage something, be it in the movement or even a clasp or strap pin/screw bar etc, whatever I'm wearing gets taken off and put into the padded pocket in my bag as my glove goes on.

I own a gen Tag Tiger Woods that I've been wearing every time I played for years. I recently received a GPS watch as a gift and I'm loving it. For those of you who've never tried one, I highly recommend them. Really light weight and no fumbling around with a handheld unit. Just a quick glance and you've got yardage to front, center and back of green.

My swing is around 110mph.

And now that I dont play everyday, and SUCK, I presume I'd be breaking a lot of clubs/trees/various items....

I think I'll leave my watch at home.

I used to wear my WBK PO when I would golf. That is until, one day the bracelet came apart and sent the head of the watch flying. Needless to say,I don't wear a watch when I golf anymore. Haha.

I would not recommend wearing for a everyday round but I think its fashionable to wear at a work golf outting. I think the risk for a special occasion might be worth it opposed to a $25 round with your buddies.

Thanks guys for the comments, I appreciate it. I feel that I have definitely had my question answered and as such, will take the proffered advice: don't wear your rep on the course because the shocks could break something. Roger that.

That's the one. No problem wearing this rep while playing golf.

Great photo of the TAG Daywatch, your photo and review is the reason one now sits in my watch box.
