Do You Think The New Explorer II Will Hurt DSSD Sales

there is a watch out their for everyone, not everybodies taste is the same. some people like and some people dont. this watch will never take away from dssd sales cause whoever is looking for a dssd is looking for a big bulky watch and will not buy smaller watch like the explorer 2, even though its 42mm but it doesnt hold the same look as a massive dssd

I might have to drop some $$ on the gen :) That thing is too nice! We'll see if a good rep comes out, hopefully the Hublot factory will see the potential...

I like the retro look but, the "McQueen" Explorer II, that is the shizzle.

I like both. I'm in the market for a new Gen this year... The Exp2 might make the short list.... That is certainly a nice looking watch.
The DSSD has been on my "maybe" list since it released... If I can find a Gen at a good price, I'll jump on it... Till then, I rock the rep of it.

No because the DSSD is completely hideous and anyone willing to buy a gen is a moron. The new Explorer II looks immensely better than a DSSD

sounds from that statement like you might pay for a gen dssd..?

The DSSD is a totally different type of watch than the explorer II. .
Plus, the DSSD is the ONLY rolex that some people (like myself) with large wrists will even consider.

BINGO ! I've learned the hard way. After a couple of Submariners, that feel like Kids casio's on my arm, the DSSD is the only way to go. I do not see the market being impacted at all.

thats the problem with these big watches...it makes it almost impossible to wear a reg sized watch after putting on something like a DSSD or SA. i have the same problem, i put on my SA and everything if fine, the next day i wear my daytona and i feel like a little wimp.

I see em as two completely different watches. If someone wants the dssd they will get the dssd. Its a pretty specific audience.

I think Puretime has the current "best" version of this watch.
