A lot of 1 and 2 combined for me. But then again it really depends on the watch. I don't think there'll ever be a super rep of the corum golden bridge but I own one cuz I love the design. In terms of pams a lot weighs heavily on quality of the rep (hence my ordering the 505kw and a 390 this week)

#2 then #1. I look for a design i like, then i check to see if it is super rep or first class.

closest to gen is the most important.

i love roger dubuis since the rep is ugly i diddnt buy it.

actually i diddnt like pam, they are so simple, kids design imo, however i buy it. why? because its close to gen.

Uwe at Timebandit just sent me an awesome ammo strap (what I call genuine) and IMHO it HAS to have a Fiddy on it. Luckily, the 127 has an excellent rep status, so no problem. Aesthetics first for me, then a quality Rep/Rep...what I think of as an accurate Representation of that brand in a Replica. Like the 111V3 Noob is for the Pams, or the Sub is for the Rolexes...or the SO Abyss is for Brietlings, or the Omega UPO. If there isn't a "Super or First-class" rep available...I pass, and leave the others to the collectors and those willing to persue perfection by modding and gen parts, etc. However, like many....I seem to be stuck on the Pams :) I see their "simplicity" as a very clean good attribute...definitely "form follows function", which of course is lots of personality without being at all gaudy. Typical of Italian design style...like Pininfarina...

#2 I would also be willing to sacrifice a little in the way of closeness to gen for superior construction/longevity (movement, waterproofing, etc).

#2 with the pursuit of #1 which is why we go with different TDs or factory's such as BK or TC or NOOB and BP to get as close without mods to the watch we want but it if I can't get at least relatively close to gen I won't get it. I've always loved the 16613 and the116613lb but can never pull the trigger on a rep of these because of flaws (saving for gen)

I am more interest in the design but it needs to be close to the gen. My vote would be for #1

Absolutely beautiful, Zke....did you get this awesome car to match the Fiddy? :)

Only Pininfarina design I've had was a '72 Fiat Spyder. Beautiful when it ran, and beautiful sitting in the driveway. Just didn't have the resources at the time to step up to the Alfa's...
Have a bunch of motorcycles now, and the one that EVERYbody comments on is the (Italian) Moto Guzzi.

And just so this stays a thread about watches...please go back and check out the Alfa I posted earlier in this thread....and tell me that headlight bezel is not EXACTLY the same as the Panerai bezel...

o yes....it's exactly like a Pam bezel. To be honest...first there was a GT back in '82 by Pini..... Than the Pam and now again a GT. The most beautiful design in cars and drives like a Italian race car.
