Hi I made an order with Steve a long way back. Two things. First, my bank had confirmed that Steve had received the money. Steve claimed otherwise. Therefore, I had to make another transfer, with hope that Steve is trustworthy.

It has been more than a month and I am sick and tired of chasing the return of the first payment. Which Steve claimed not received.

My bank gave me official successful transfer confirmation to facilitate a follow up with Steve and his bank. However, it was to no avail.

Steve asked to explain the situation which j did for an hour and it was read by him. But he have decided to ghost me.

So here I am, more than a month and paid USD 858 twice to a dishonest Steve.

It's big money which I could fucking buy a nice gen which I have been eyeing.

Buy at your own risk!

Should I hold all evidence.of my conversation with Steve and both ours banks. Please becareful and not fall victim like me.

It saddens me when members decide to make their first post only to complain, after having benefited of the information of the forum for a long time without giving anything to it.
That said, @Itto poses some interesting questions. Care to answer?

1st - are you sure you are dealing with the right Steve?

2nd - why would you send money again to somebody who claims he didnt get it, when the bank(!) says otherwise?

3rd - welcome to rwi
#1 right steve at this email [[Redacted due to phishing warnings]]@gmail.com

#2 I did so becos my bank has a rule of 20 working days for international transfer queries. But my mate whom I am buying on behalf is in a rush to get the watch. Hence, I transferred again.

#3 thanks! I have been lurking for ages.

#4 to add on, since Steve insisted he did not receive even till today. My bank advised me to follow up with Steve's bank myself. His bank replied that he needs Steve's approval. Which I have been chasing Steve forever and is unwilling to help give his approval to the bank to search for the "missing funds".

Steve have been ghosting me ever since.

Becareful!

Apologies, I have replied to itto below.

I apologise for the first post bding a complaint. Reason being, its my first time buying a rep, and on behalf of someonelse.

I too apologise because I had a long typing exercise for Steve. Essentially, he asked me to clarify the matter 2 hours ago, and I had been explaining without stopping, becos he just blue ticked me without any response throughout the passed 2hrs without any response at all!

Such is the woes of international banking... but I'm curious. If it takes your bank 20 days to transfer money overseas... how would sending the money again through the exaxt same method change the speed of transfer?

You should have asked to send through Paypal or looked into Bitcoin or Wise the 2nd time...

It sucks but TD really doesn't control their bank and when their bank will release funds....

Overall I'll let Steve chime in for this...

I don't really know where you live but in the US, money transfer overseas SPECIFICALLY to China has become alot harder, and things are checked alot more... international banking is always a clusterfuck.

Which is why I never do direct bank transfers anymore. Only Wise.

I only do transfers if the TD has a EU account. Otherwise, no way, fees for international transfer to China are crazy high.

I paid on behalf of my mate for the rep
Why didn't you give the contact information for Steve to your mate and let him do all the work ordering, paying, QC and then waiting for delivery. Would have saved you a whole lot of stress.

It's very simple to verify this matter.

Steve - I call out to you to here, since you have been ghosting me.

My request is simple Steve, since your point is that you did not receive the said fund in your account. Means it remains unallocated with your bank. My bank asked for a small favour of you to email your bank (let's not add something that can identify TDs banks please, even if its just an email) with my transaction advice attached and authorising a reply to me and/or my bank

Look forward to your response?

My mate doesn't wear rep either and was skeptical of the rave reviews. I offered a a brotherly gesture to take the financial loss arising from Steve, whom I trusted as a reputed dealer

Have you taken into account that it's the middle of the night in China right now? 5AM.

It would mean that you were expecting him to reply between 2-3 AM.

... I'm afraid to ask this but every time I see one of these the question comes up in my mind. How many did you order? What is the sum total? I personally never understand ordering more than one possibly two at a time..

I think he ordered only one but sent the money TWICE thinking the 2nd one would clear faster than the first....
