Everyone should be free to post their opinions but you should have facts to back them up.

Kinda' contradictory there, sport. Opinions are just that - opinions. They don't need facts!

Well everyone should be entitled to their opinion, but courtesy doesn't cost anything. The OP got raked over coals for sharing his experience, which was unnecessary. If people disagree with his view, I can't help but think there are ways to express that without being abusive.
The people defending the OP are doing so more because of the way the dissenters treated him IMO...

I would have thought ALL of WBK's transactions would have been with anybody in US and maybe Canada or Mexico... but overseas????? WHY??? I don't get why you bought from him and you are complaining about shipping costs?

A huge part of this hobby is research. Not only researching the reps we buy but dealers too. Clearly WBK has built a business around shipping mostly in the states. It's pretty much his market here if you want your rep quick, cheap and easy.

Every single dealer has their advantages and disadvantages. Just because their trusted doesn't mean they should be YOUR dealer. You bought from WBK because you were enticed by his low price of $75 but end up paying way more because of what?... shipping! It was a mistake. You sacrificed a lower risk transaction for a lower cost. Live and Learn.

I've lost hundreds (and I mean that, hundreds!) in this damn hobby. It's honestly just part of the game. Get used to it.

Some veterans here will tell you if they have a prob with their watch from the dealer it's honestly more cost effective to just fix it locally... others choose a different path and end up with headaches, lost patience, stress and less money in their pocket for the next 2 months.

This is the rep game. Welcome! But too bad you are probably black listed on the dealer board already.

EDIT: oh and please for the love of reps will people stop comparing our hole in the wall dealers to ******* Amazon! Seriously?? ******* Amazon!?!!?

On a personal note:

I recently purchased a watch from Stan due to reading positive reviews. Money was paid and I received the watch. It was not what I expected. It has flaws. Stan and I are PM-ing about the situation. Hopefully, it will come to a positive resolution for the both of us. If I am happy with the results, I will purchase another watch from him. If the 2nd watch is good, maybe a 3rd, a 4th, 5th, and so on.

If I am unhappy with the outcome, I will move on to the next dealer. Stan just lost a customer.

Yes, customer care is important. If Stan resolve my dispute and that I am happy, he will essentially get a repeat customer for life. Customer care is important but everyone has to look at the bottom line. What is my profit margin?

What the hell? Do you need any more help or a better platform to lobby for a "positive resolution" regarding your dealings with Stan? No wonder he's pissed off.

So, just to double check, reviews are only okay if they're positive? Got it.
utter crap and you know it so why even say it?

I have important things to say!
Yup, I think it's all been said.

Locking this up now, there is no point in it going on any longer.
