Differences in the same parts in Genuine 3235-110 bridge?

Hi, I just found out that my Train Wheel Bridge (3235-110) differs from the one that can be found on ebay or comparisons of the gen 3235 vs VS/VR3235.
The difference is that it is missing one hole with ruby. I asked about that the seller and here is his response:

Hello, yes we are aware of that, but these bridges are the new model ones, where they took off that jewel because it's basically unused, don't worry they are 100€ genuine original. we can guarantee that.

I would like to hear opinion on that from RWI experts because it is confusing and not sure if I have to order other 3235-110 with additional hole or not.

Yes the missing jewel is indeed unused. You should be able to use this bridge on a Dandong movement.

Often wondered why this jewel was present. I wasn't aware that the gen bridge had been updated to remove it.

I always wondered. At one point I wondered if it was Rolex’s way of shipping a spare jewel with the movement kinda like how when you buy a shirt there are usually a few spare buttons that come with it that are sewn into the tag.
