Yes that’s what i did 😎
I took the case, crystal and bracelet from ZF and the movement from DIF.
It‘s possible to change the metal spacer ring surrounding the movement because the dial is not glued on it. The spacer ring must stay with the case when you swap the movement.

Is anyone else experiencing long waiting time compared to ZF / other more popular reps?

The opposite here. I experienced a long wait time for a ZF so I canceled (it was holding up a multi-watch shipment). Ordered a DIF a few days later and had QC in 3 days. Should be here in a day or two, and will compare the quality to my ZF BB58.

i think it all depends on the TD you are using, some are just faster than others.
Chinese connections in the mainland really matter.
Also some TDs do carry some stock of the main factories favorites.

Got mine today.
SEL are really not that great, but good enough for me.
Bezel alignment was also wrong, which I just fixed.
Bezel action is really stiff, maybe its worth sanding the inner parts a bit, but not today.
Overall a nice watch. Matching Lume and no Ghostdate makes it my preferred choice.
It seems to be pressure proof at 6 bar

Quick question. I have the ZF which is about half a click off, on the bezel alignment. How do you go about fixing that? Thanks

Remove the bezel, carefully remove the insert with a knife. Reapply the bezel without the insert, glue in the insert at the correct position.

Bezel removal tool and crystal press is recommend for a smooth operation. Inserting the nylon gasket into the bezel makes the reapply process much easier

You're welcome.

In addition, regarding the stiff action of the bezel. I've added some gasket grease and the operation is now more smooth. Not an elegant solution and probably not water resistant, but it works. I saw some posts that even the gen bezel has problems with (salt)water and sand which let the bezel stuck...
