Did not receive any email

Hi everyone! I just created this account. I have also read the welcome thread with all the dos and don'ts. I read that I am suppose to receive an email for verification purpose but even after having this account created for more than 15 minutes now, I have yet to receive any emails. I have also checked my spam folder but there isn't anything there either.
