For UK nothing is better than EMS at least from Thailand it's not at all unusual to ship Friday afternoon Bangkok and it be delivered in UK Monday morning . Best the couriers can do is by Wednesday

ordered watch from hont

got it meanwhile but had to pay tax :(
will try to avoid dhl in the future

as to reliability sure dhl is great but I cannot afford to mess with customs...as it gets expensive then

I have spoken to DHL now and they have said a file has been opened on my item, it is stuck in customs and it can take up to 30 days for a decision to be made. Does this mean they could destroy it or make me pay duty on it?

this means that you very likely will have to pay tax for the amount of money you spent and you will have to prove your payment and send them a copy of your bill, CC statment or with whatever method you paid your watch.

if you are lucky the customs fee of your country is very low so tax will be the main bucket

Still not had my watch yet, spoken to DHL again and they have said customs are still holding it. It has been 23 days up to now. Hont has kindly offered to send again and for me to return the first if I ever do get it.

Update on my BCE from Hont.

I have still heard nothing on the first one sent by DHL, after 6+ weeks. I thought I would have had a letter or some indication that customs were keeping it, but nothing.

Hont sent a replacement through EMS, which came through a different area of the UK and sailed through without issue in 7 days so I would definitely recommend this method over DHL.

Service from Hont was excellent. The watch is amazing, and very close to the gens I've had (and a world away from some of the reps I picked up in New York a few years ago). My only problem is I disn;t tighten/glue the markers when I received the watch and now the 45 marker is missing. Hopefully Hont, or someone on here will be able to help me get a replacement.

Wouldn't hesitate to use Hont again, but not DHL.

My last replica from china came with UPS. No problem, very fast. Also a Replica Shirt from Turkey. No problems with swiss customs.
Some months ago I ordred electronic Parts in Shenzen. Shipping by DHL.
Value was around 60$ Got the package quick but some days later DHL send me a letter and wanted import taxes and some fees.. 34$.. Stupid company!

With UPS it worked every time very well.

So I would never again ship with DHL. Only UPS or EMS.

Hi All,

I'm in The Netherlands, ordered a U2 from Hont, paid on Nov 12.

Watch was shipped via DHL from Cn on Nov 18, received it today, Nov 20, on my wrist now! (Pics in Eyecandy - Wristshots section).

For me, DHL worked fine, especially as I could track every 'step of the way' on the DHL site.

SUPER!

To ship to France, is DHL better than EMS or it's the same. I mean I am willing to avoid any problems with french customs ;)...so which one is the best for that?

pjmbour, I'd not disclose too many details ... customs can read, too. I'd hate to see that method of shipment wasted just because ppl spill the beans.
