DH Gate replicas

Today, I've been placing orders for watches on DHGate. I still don't know what quality they will have, but it seems good, and the prices, in general, are much better than those of Trusted Dealers. Do you think it's because they are actually much worse replicas? Or could it be that they have direct contact with the manufacturers? Or maybe the DHGate sellers have higher sales volume and apply smaller profit margins?

P.S.: When the watches arrive, I'll do a review.

There's a reason that the term "A Gate shitter" is used here to describe a poor quality rep.

I suppose there will be a bit of everything. In theory, they use fairly decent automatic mechanisms, including Asian replicas of Rolex.

You just don’t get it, you get what you pay for. DHGATE, ALI etc are cheap because they are crap…but keep believing what you want until it arrives and please do share the quality.

If you have ever seen reviews or TD links of the watches they are night and day.

Please do share a link of what you bought, I for one am very interested

I have purchased replicas from TD, and the truth is that in some cases, I was very disappointed, even though the watch in question appeared on the NWBIGs list... I have never bought from DH, and considering the price difference, even if they are poor replicas, I won't lose much...

Most of the reps on DHgate are low grade "AAA" watches you'll find in a flea market. There are sellers there who offer the same reps our TDs offer, but they are much more expensive on DHgate. I remember seeing Noob 4130 Daytonas there for over $1,000 USD.

Keep in mind that you have no recourse with DHgate if a seller scams you with a "bait and switch".

I've bought a ton of watches off DHgate. Some were good, most were crap. The only watches I've had arrive broken were off DHgate.

Also, keep in mind that you have no QC photos with DHgate sellers. You also won't have a new watch shipped if the one you order is seized by Customs.

Forgot to mention, this is for you and any members new to the hobby. Don't think for a second that you have found a loophole, and out smarted us replica veterans by getting cheaper reps on DHgate/Ali. The cheaper reps aren't even close to the top reps coming out of VSF, CF, etc.

Most of us here have been around the block a few times with replicas. We use TDs because it's the best option to get the best product, each and every time.

I've asked for QC pics when considering buying from Gate sellers, and generally they oblige with a picture of the thing you'll be getting (ie, message them before paying, and get a pic of the watch that's not been edited to remove dial text etc). So (for instance) I was able to skip a quartz moonwatch with the horrible big "PROFESSIONAL" font that blighted them for a time.

Oh, and talking of moon watches - there's a thread dedicated to the Moonswatch reps over on RWG.bz where the guys managed to find the best versions from a Gate and as they agree there, no point going to a TD for these when very good reps can be got with zero shipping from the Gate: https://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?/topic/169309-all-the-moonswatch-reps-new-versions-even/

But as others have mentioned, there's absolutely no point going to the Gate for any reps other than novelties and cheapies its not worth paying shipping for from a TD.

It's not even true that "you get what you pay for" from the Gate, because if they can, they'll overcharge you for a reputable factory rep, then send you a bait and switch shitter instead.

For anything quality - stick to TDs.

To each their own, but why go through the hassle when the TDs here are easier to deal with, and have reputations to uphold.

Not only that, but QC is a nice luxury to have. You don't get that with DHgate sellers.

Please do write a detailed review, I'd love to read a DHgate rep review.
If you really can't tell the difference between a DHgate rep and a TD rep, perhaps you should really stay with the gate.

FWIW, I've been lucky that most of the stuff I've purchased on Ali or DH Gate has been at least worth what I spent...not just watches, but other items as well. That said, there's a world of difference in a $20-100 beater watch and some of the $500+ replicas we see here, for sure. A high quality rep would fool most experts' close scrutiny, while the Ali/DH stuff wouldn't pass a cursory glance.

I've actually picked up a few "shitters" from those places as "beater clones" of gens that I have. In most cases, I've been very pleasantly surprised at the overall quality.

I think there are roles for watches of every level, from gens, to high end reps, to homages, to beaters, to shitters, lol. It's up to each of us, individually, to decide how to fill those roles.

I agree, if you're lucky you'll get a top quality rep in m2m for a bit less than TD price if you're worried about a few £€$ and if you patient you'll get in the same country thus avoiding any customs concerns.
