Hell, Denis has committed mail fraud in the eyes of the law. He could easily be reported for that and I have enough evidence to have him charged at the very least. I have had mail from a person able and willing to make sure that happens, I've told him no thanks, we will handle this one.

I agree with everything you said here. I also thank you (on behalf of everyone that may be worried about the situation) for showing restraint. I understand that it is your job to protect this forum and I also understand that when one member scams a TD it hurts all of us. There is no argument there whatsoever.

There is no reason for regular members (like myself) that, as you said, have absolutely no clue what is going on privately between RWI, Denis, and Ryan to even have a voice here until there is absolutely nothing else that can be done. If this is a full blown scam and Denis doesn't make it better, I could think you would almost be required to post here what happened but since it appears that you and Denis are working together to get Ryan his money, I think opening this up to the public is just causing more tension that you probably dont have the time to deal with.

I think this thread is ridiculous. It is filled with awful threats and libel. There is no reason this information should have ever been public..

This is an open forum. The word forum in the truest sense of the word being a place where ideas are exchanged and views on a particular issue can be discussed. Forum also being a court or tribunal. We are a forum, we are also family for those of us that post regularly. When problems arise affecting our dealers, members, etc. it becomes to some extent all of our problems to know about, discuss, and hopefully in the end rectify and make right. This is how we protect ourselves as members, by making things public and out in the open when it becomes necessary to do.

We all want a good ending to this story and we want the best for Denis and the dealer. I've seen many threads end on a good note from getting the facts out into the open and hopefully this one will too. But, to say this should all be done in private imo would not benefit anyone involved including members of the "forum."

Sorry bros. Just reminded me of an experience. Was almost killed in Russia over a pick pocket demanding 5 russian rubles. Life is tough in these parts of the world, even for well offs. I have lost $2K in 30 mins on the table; asked so much for an illegal favor; etc but all knew what they were getting into right into their faces. Much like all of us being here for. But scamming someone... that's a no no for many. That's the lowest of the low

From my understanding, there is not one member on this forum who is ok with someone scamming someone else. No one is ok with member scamming member, or member scamming dealer. That is not the issue here. The issue here, as TB mentioned, is that Denis appears to be working with RWI to get the money back to Ryan so the rest of the members should let RWI deal with this without heating everything up and creating more tension. I'm sure TB is busy with his personal life and job and I'm also sure that dealing with a POTENTIAL scammer is the last thing he wants to be doing, so lets respect him and RWI and allow them to settle things themselves without us making it harder.

Behind closed doors is the last place this should be dealt with for Denis' own good. Trailboss isn't making idle threats or being hostile with his posts. If you've seen the other side of what happens later, he's being seriously nice and friendly. The boss' warnings really are friendly warnings. If it goes the other way it gets ugly. There are a lot of people out there that aren't even on RWI (and probably don't even like watches) that are well connected and want to help out with some seriously crazy stuff.

This public pressure is good for Denis. Yeah, it's a spectacle. But it's better for Denis right now than the alternatives.

Before I am described as being sanctimonious or whatever, allow me to be serious and thoughtful, please: As Cybee has pointed out, RWI is an open forum, gently moderated and, in the eyes of many (myself among them) a closely-knit community. What we have seen exposed in this thread is disruptive and yet to be justified and resolved. The facts as we know them suggest to me that this may be a difficult resolution. I hope that my instincts betray me.

There is, to cite a geeky cliche, a disturbance in The Force. Now is the time for the members to support the staff and let them do their thankless, unpaid job.

I don't think we need to share with you how scammers or people intending to scam are treated or handled, there are plenty of examples over all the boards.

He praises your efforts. He inquired about tact. You say this is a forum and all should be public, yet in the same breath you tell someone to say "NOTHING" and to be quiet. Is that "constructive?" I'm really not trying to start crap here. Just pointing out that this is what should be expected when PUBLIC airing is so embraced, right?

I realize fuses are short right now and it can make it easy for anyone to be short with the most honest of opinions. I am grateful to everyone who takes the concern for all the members and that admirable. Having opinions and varying views is what makes a forum and I know you work hard and I do appreciate it
