Hey guys!
i’m looking to buy a james cameron deep sea, either the 116660 or 126660.
i’ve done some searching around and i’m a bit stuck as to which factory makes the best one? and also what kind of mods would be needed to make it look closest to genuine?

its been a long time favourite watch but have been stuck on which model to choose due to the minor differences in either one.

horpfully you guys can help :)

thanks heaps :)

There is no best version all have some things. I got the v10 Noob and its hard to tell because not many people have it in real life to compare. But with videos its hard to tell from gen. I got the Noob V10 with A2836 and its because easy of parts avaliable for repairs. The only issue is the LOCK and K lettering is a bit off, you can see from the photos I seen on TT and PT site. Its off by a a line so 1mm or less. Its not perfect at 6 oclock.
But its something that no one will tell. The dial is crazy like it changes color when in sun light, lume is crazy good. Best $500 I spend. My only got a small dust particle on the ring lock ring by 3 o'clock but only I noticed after a month. Once I get it serviced I will have it cleaned.

thanks for your info!! only reason i might steer away from the a2836 is cause i might end up putting gen parts into it... something to think about i guess.

guys to end this discussion would you say it’s better to buy the 116660 in terms of closer to gen then the 126660?

Personal preference. You may find it easier getting gen parts for the 116660. That might be something else to consider.

I got an earlier noob dssd blue and the only problem for me is the coating in the insert. It's too dark in low light. I might try to source a ARF insert down the line. Otherwise it's really well done.

yeah that makes sense, out of the box would you say go for a 126660 instead? maybe ARF? i’m thinking possibly, cause of the wider bracelet it might feel better...

Its totally personal preference.

The general consensus seems to be that a lot of people have posted they prefer the 126660 over the 116660 because of the bracelet and it feeling more balanced ........ but then a respected member a few weeks ago posted he got both and without doubt preferred the 116660 bracelet, that it felt more comfortable for him. He then sold the 126660 with the knowledge that he had kept his preferred and didnt need to think about the 126660 any longer. Whats good for your wrist isnt necessarily good for his.

So... all you can do is get one and enjoy it or get both and flip one (or get both and make a mix and match, or just keep both standard LOL). Very little difference between them and it depends on you. You could even decide based on "ok, ill get whichever turns up in M2M first"...

For me, I prefer the lugs/SEL on the 116660 yet I have a 126660.

Good morning, Does anyone know if ARF makes a Rolex 126660 Sea Dweller Deep Sea 'D-Blue' (The Cameron) as it appears there making the best version?

I can find the standard black face listed at In Time but I'm after the 'D-Blue' as I prefer the face.

Any help appreciated.

Buy the black ARF and put Noob D-blue dial inside :D

ARF have not yet done with the D-Blue (will they ever be? lonnng time coming).
