Yeah, looks like I'll jump on a white dial 15400 as well. Going to go to the AP AD in NYC today and try a couple :)

If it's not my taste, don't think I'll be losing much on it reselling.

Does anyone advise paying with Western Union to Toro?
Seems like I'll save $20
Does he wave shipping for us on here?
Do I just buy direct on the website?
First time buying a rep online.

Toro is good. You'll be fine doing western union.

Go for the 15400 with either black or blue dial. The white dial doesn't have enough contrast against the steel in my opinion and looks somewhat plain. I made this mistake on one of my PP Nautilus models and I rarely wear the thing. You will see what I mean when you visit the AD.

I don't know, the black and blue dial isn't so accurate with the toro special. I liked the white dial tho but the rg on black dial was simply stunning!

I just want a fairly accurate dial and good gold plating/wrapping for the 16613.
Don't know why it is so hard to find a good one of these for 300.

How much does Narikaa's sub go for and what are its main faults?

we can only dream

If anyone of you guys get the $208 white dial 15400 please post some pics!!! I'm on the fence and don't know if I should just pay more for the "best" version.

I asked on RepGeek about the Toro Special and they said that the quality is not near the Best Version for $438.

The Miyota 9015 movements are fantastic, but the differences are heavy. Pretty much the $438 is much more refined than $208. Here are the differences that I have spotted between the two:

-fonts: much thicker on the $208
-date window: rectangle on the $208, square on $438
-date wheel: white date wheels on all dial colors on 208, white on white, black on black/blue dials on 438
-hands: thicker on 208
-hour markers: thicker on 208

If you like the watch, but aren't too worried about the flaws, get the $208. (white dial is probably your best bet)
If getting close to gen-like is your concern, save your money and spend it on the $438 best edition.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your response!!!

This really helped me a lot. I think I'll save up and get the more accurate version. I'll be staring/glaring at the flaws and wish I had just paid a bit more....

The bracelet on gen seems much more shiny. Has anyone tried to hand brush the bracelet to be closer to gen?

I'm excited to get this piece already! Looking forward to keeping this for years to come. My friend just showed me her dads vintage royal oak. I would've assumed this was a new design but apparently not!
