Debating my second Pam: 312 VS 388 VS 643

I've had my first Pam which is 111 for about a month and am in hunt for the second one.
Although I like 111, I find that 312 and 388 appear to be well-built and there are certain premium look that fit them better in the luxury watch category.
The only concern I have for 312 is the thickness. I'm not sure If I could rock it on my 6.75" wrist without looking silly.
388 and 643 are better in that department but they are not thin watches by any means, either.
I know it's ultimately up to me to decide but I would like to hear other people's perspective on this matter or their experience with any one of those 3 watches I listed. :helpsmilie:

Among the 3, since it's the only Radiomir, the PAM388. :) But if you decide you like the Luminor case, then its virtual twin the PAM312 will be great. :)

Id go the 388, I also have a smallish wrist and wouldn't go any bigger

The PAM388 is actually 45mm with the PAM312 being 44mm. Only the wire lugs on the Rad make it appear smaller, but not by much.

I have both a 388 and a 312, I really love them both but If I had to take only one it would be the 388

Thank you guys for all the input. I think I am gravitating towards 388.

The 312 I think wears smaller. The lug wires of the 388 will stick out. That was my experience anyway with a 6.5 inch wrist

ALE7575 for 388, Is there a difference between V1 and V2 in terms of the case thickness? And with v2, you could see the sandwich disk showing thru the date window? I came across a post on RG about that and wanted to verfiy that with you. Thanks!!

Forgive me for interrupting, but I just ordered my first PAM yesterday, and after about a week of agonizing over the choices, I picked the 388 over the 312.

After reading this thread, I'm glad I did!

I'm not ALE but I can probably answer this. :D There is no difference in thickness between the V1 (ST-2555) and the V2 (A7750). The movement difference in this case (pardon the pun) does not require any change to the midcase. Can you post the link on RG where it says there is a midcase thickness difference? I only remember people comparing font thicknesses between versions, which is a totally different thing altogether. ;)

Ok. I was dead wrong. It wasn't even RG and it was RWI..
And coincidentally it was you who commented on behalf of V1 by the way and I misinterpreted your comment about the case (I thought you were implying that it is thinner than V2). :whistling:

I said the V1 caseback wasn't as thick at the V2, but the midcase (the part housing the movement) is the same. The V2 changed the movement at the same time as the lug fix but it was done in too quick a fashion to even expect the factories to make a new midcase. I've seen a V2 with the same caseback as my V1 so it was probably batch not version related. The sandwich disk comment I forgot I presumed you were saying that the bottom disk (there are two in a sandwich dial) was showing through the date window, which is bizarre. It's clear now that it was referring to the unfinished edges of the date window, probably simply due to inconsistencies in rep manufacture.

To throw a spanner in, the 388 was the only PAM that I couldn't bond with. I'd go the 292 over the 643. A 6.75 wrist is fine with a 44mm Luminor. If it feels big to you when you put it on, two days later it feels perfect. It's very much what you're used to wearing. I'm just shy of 7 and 44 feels small to me now after wearing big subs.

What was about 388 that didn't really grab you?
