Is there any evidence JJ actually builds these dials himself? I’m lead to believe he just buys them in from China and sells them at a premium?

It is a 1of1 production run.

Of course there are more sellers with rubelite, sodalite or Mother of Pearl dials. But are they the same? Most probably not.

Are the main components manufactured in Asia? Probably. Why? Because that's where everything is produced. From the chair you sit on, down to the screws holding up the picture of your family on the wall, including that photo frame and the paper it's printed on

And even then, who's to say the printing, placing of markers and end polish doesn't happen in his workshop?

He outsource it from China. Few of my customers tried to order a meteorite from me so that he can finish installing Subdials and I told him to provide me his dimensions so I can cut the meteorite for him per his specifications so that he don't have any issues (I tried to help him) and it took many days for him to finally admit he would send it to China anyway for assembly and no dimensions were provided. That's all I know, the factory that print the dials for him and does finally assembly is doing nice job so that all that matters. I don't know if he ever claimed he does the dials himself like i do but there were people that claimed he does which i dont think its true.

In the end, does it matter where he get it from ? As long as you like it wear it and enjoy it !

I have talked to JJ many times and he had never claimed to cut any stone himself, or to drill any holes in anything.

Making a dial and making the base stone are two different things, as I also explained in my post previously above.

It's also the best quality print and best quality dial I have seen do far from any custom dial maker, no offense

I can tell you (having designed customs and seeing something custom designed) that it isn't a process of "ah nice here are five great dials on SW website I will resell them". There's a design team that makes the dial layouts and has them produced.

Are there other dials similar and maybe same layouts? Yes. Of course.
Are there other meteorite dials that look like yours? Yes. Of course.

I never said that your dials are bad or of lesser quality, I love your meteorite dial with ave subdials and have in fact considered contacting you to buy one

Let everything run at its own speed and maybe we will see JJ on this forum and others in the future, as of today he is not a registered member.

Point is. People move to a provider that will offer product, and JJ does it consistent and well.

If you are back in the game im sure many would be interested.

I wasn't offended, I know how much work is involved as I do everything myself so no need to explain to me I wish I could have a team of people to do stuff as being one man do everything is not ideal, but I love what I do.

Of course my plans change, making dials is not my main thing. If 20 people asking me constantly to do few dials then why not I do small batches here and there from time to time. Im not dial maker full time, don't really need to make them it's more like a side hobby of "watchmaking" i really enjoy doing but not always have time for it. I did start to make one of one kind of dials lately for fun trying new things.
