So, what does everyone think of Davidsen's upgraded versions (especially the pvd one)? I wouldn't like to start, as there are much more experienced members than me here.

I'm looking into the 005 watch. Dial looked good as I compared to a gen pic. But what do I know... I'm a noob :lol: Any comments on the 005?
What i see at first sight, is that he has improved the lume colour -more white, less green ( i mean by day).
Imho , the lume is not bad at all but still not like the gen imo but the crown on the pvd looks thin to me for some reason in that seond picture , if u go to my section under the new post about pvd jobs i recently done u can see a good picture of a genuine 005 i recently pvd for a customer on paneristi , that is true pvd and how it should look , compare the arrows on the top logo and the lume there , keep in mind the L swiss madeL is on the newer models and the Lswiss L is on the older ones , which still is correct , i think this dial is the one u can get from a few dealers but has been relumed basically (keep in mind being these are not easy to find anymore they are imo also the best u can get out of the box for that price) not perfect but not the worse i have see either)
the 089 doesnt look right at all to me , the lume looks off and the color of the dial looks off to me , the best dial i have seen is still rivers imo

all i can do is try and help u see what i see and then u have to make your decisions of how good a watch is , i do feel i have a good eye for spotting flaws out however , lol

Davidsen's "new" 005 appears to use the same dial as his previous version 005, just with different color lume. It's much different than his 000 dial (which is pretty wrong, but might be the only Zero dial available anymore) and different from the 005 dial he debuted over at RWG. The logo is still just a tick too big overall on the Fiver, but it is still the best 005 dial out there, IMO.
Don't even get me started on the Zero, the 001A or the 002A that he recently posted. :roll:
Joe, yeah, his crowns on the 195 are too thin, just like his SS ones. That's all they are, is "his" SS crowns that have been PVD'd. I still say is Ti crowns are one of the most accurate rep crowns I've EVER seen. If he'd just make a SS and PVD equivalent of that crown, we'd all be happy! A guy can dream, I guess....

i would like to know which 005 people are going to get... the one on rwg or the one on rwi...
on the 089, he is using a blue dial which AFAIK is a fantasy model... 089 is anthracite for sure, not blue...

realize that DSN doesn't say the dial color if i remember correctly.. but it comes on a blue leather strap and it looks blue in the pic...
Either I was imagining things, or he has replaced it with the same 005 seen here. Perhaps I was getting it confused with his Zero dial?
Well, the logo size is much more correct on the Zero dial. It's just the color and quality of the dial print that is miles off.

Maybe we ask too much, as well. I mean, with Pams being really "simple" in terms of design (by that, i mean a very clear design without elements that could distract the eye as in other brands -e.g. Rolex) we focus on details that in many cases -although minor-seem huge to each one of us.
Is it just me or does the pvd on the 195 look way off? The pics I have seen in other sections look a lot different to me. :?

That 005/195 dial is not bad, except for the oversized logo print. Caseback serial should be from G-series, though.
002A is sweet, Luminor txt at the top could be little more compressed, but that's splitting hairs. How about that A-series caseback, eh? This is the first ever rep historic Marina caseback made that I've seen so far :wink:
089 dial should be anthracite (charcoal) color not blue, and the subdial color should match the main dial.
