Davidsen Lume Color Poll

This is a simple poll to try and convince the master - Davidsen - that his lume color is too green and needs to be whiten'd up.

This is not a thread to complain or be negative.

Personally I really really really want to buy one or more of his watches, but I can't do it until that lume is nice n' white!

I've asked him about this and he is convinced that it should be C-3...i'd rather have it too white than too green...

@dhk: C1 will make the colour of the lume "pure white" on daylight. It will also glow much much inferior to the real C3. As I said, the colour of the lume should be like the hand (C3). Apparently in this case, it looks to me more like C7.

The lume on DSN's painted dials look a lot greener than the sammy dials. My only personal experience (gen vs. rep) is with sammy dials, and DSN's are REALLY, really good...almost the perfect color in fact.

I'd be in for the 036, 082 and 005 with whiter lume.

I'm not into buying an expensive watch and sending it away for a custom lume job. Not only is the extra money an issue, but no matter how good a job, on a sausage dial the hand applied lume never looks as good as the printed lume.

Well... to tell you frankly, when you wear 082 rep, no matter how green is those lume you will always get lots of compliments.

The greenish lume is a fatal fault that screams "FAKE". Just compare pics of gen and you know what I mean.

I'd be in...I already have his bank wire info. I'm ready to jump on this thing...I've already given
my modded 111H to my brother in anticipation of the 082 on my wrist.

@taka: could you point out he imperfections on the caseback?

What about ordering this watch without dial lume and just getting it done from vaccum?

It has pretty different font engraving and the picture of the vespucci ship doesn't really look right. But as I said.... Even with green lume, only compliments you will get.

I have complained about this many times before. I bought the 1st run of 082 and finally sent it back and traded for his 177 because I could not deal with the green numbers/dial. I also was sent his now, new upgraded 005 (Again sausage dial) and had the same problem, so I sent it to Vacuum to cover w/C-1 and now I can live with it.
IMHO, some factory is doing the dials w/this lume and he is stuck with it. Therefore his reluctance to deal with the issue 1st hand. If you want any kind of accuracy at all in your rep this is a complete giveaway and just looks weird.
