Re: Movement Tabs

@Rocket

Thank you for posting pics of these tabs.

I am sending out today a pair of little tabs to msot of the first batch buyers for them to
reinstall them themselves if they are dare enough to do it.

For those who is very afraid to do it and do not care to do it himself,it is ok to send them back
to my Hk postal address. My psotal address is actutally my po box address in Hk for me to collect
mails or returns. It is only a mail box with no one to take registered mail.Pls send your watch
back by normal air mail.NO REGISTERED please .Pls send me an e mail to inform me that you
are sedning back you watch for fix up.I have sent all my parts in Hk so that my assoicate can fix
it promply in HK.

Lastly,All my future batches of watches no matter swiss or china movt will CERTAINELY CARRY
a pair of litte tabs attached with the movtmetn screws. That is the most proper way indeed.
Those 2nd batch buyers do not have to worry about these.

Thank you

My movement was loose on arrival so I removed the back and discovered the problem. Told Davidsan and he is sorting the problem for everybody. The screws that come with a Swiss movement have larger heads and grip the inside edge of the case without a tab but its not a good solution hence they should be replaced with tabs

For those that don't know what the tabs look like I have taken a couple of pics, one showing the tabs fitted to an Asian movement and another of a genuine Swiss which no tabs fitted. This is similar to the one in Davidsan's watches

They are not difficult to fit once the back is removed but a good set of tweezers, a loupe and a quality screwdriver make it a lot easier.

Plan to order 195. But I really confuse if I need to hold on or make order right away. Seems Davidsen has given his commitment on taking good care of further deliveries. From the pics, quality of PVD is very good. However, never see his 195 pic posted. Any recommendation?

my 202a has arrived!

I got my 202a y'day: all nice & plastic wrapped. As discussed, it has got stainless screws, so think I'll be buying a little bottle of black modeling paint to fix that.

I really like the simplicity of this watch - yeah, I know it has the T-Swiss-T flaw, but that's so minor.

I also have a Toscana strap from E. + a PVD GPF screw-in buckle - I'll post some pics this weekend.

Cheers, BBB

Just to clarify, the GEN screws are stainless as well, NOT PVD, they are blackened on the ends by chemical staining. So, the easiest way to replicate this is to use a black sharpie ... I can't see ANY reason to bother colouring the tubes, the ends are stainless and the rest is inside the strap!!

Good info, one thing I did do is cut a couple pairs of tubes down a hair so they would`nt scratch the inside of the lugs on the case. I know a few scuffs add to the vintage look, but not eager to get my first knick.
